eBay scam? Heavy Rain for $30
Weird. I got a shipping confirmation from this guy today through PayPal. I guess he is sending something?
You are getting something but you're not gonna like it, it's only costs $1 tops, is used, and has some hairs in it.
Sorry just trying to point it out to fellow CAGs. You know you don't have to click the post right?
Your intent is good, but normally the only thing it points out is how dumb do you have to be to even consider that it isn't a scam. Which is why normally you will get some harsh responses. I don't mind any of it these posts though. Makes for some good reading. :D

Yeah, I feel like an idiot. I just got scammed on HR for $40.99 + FS, even though the guy had Positive Feedback, I still should've just left it....

Now up to Paypal to file the dispute...

I'm also very surprised that I got the game today from Walmart even though the invoice stated $54.96 plus $6.94 shipping and $5.49 tax, $67.39 total.

Now I kind of feel bad for opening a case with eBAY which I just closed.

My guess is that the guy must had typed in the wrong amount while listing the auctions. Still doesn't quite make sense that the Paypal account was registered overesa and the fact the he went unregistered off of eBay on the same day though...

Anyway I'm happy that I got a brand new copy of the game.

Sounds like stolen credit card to me or something like that. He orders for you guys and he gets the money back into his Paypal account.

Yeah, I got the game today...ordered through Wal-Mart. It's a scam for sure...but it's either against Wal-Mart or...Michael Griffeth (who it was ordered by and isn't the name on the sellers PayPal account) and not us. This is the second time I've bought a cheap game on eBay and received it from Wal-Mart (and the seller quickly deletes their account).
The only thing I'll sell on ebay nowadays is DLC codes that net me at least $10, as I do not need to pay for shipping and most of the time I get the code/s for free.

The way ebay caters to buyers that have earned absolutely no reputation at all is ludicrous. It seems they have the "screw the seller" thing down pat.
Especially now with this stupid Buyer protection crap that makes it "100% safe"

You know how they can afford to make it 100% safe? They raise listing fees so only the people that sell a handful of items a year and the people that ship 800 things a week can afford to pay them. My family is kinda in the middle so we're screwed because so many people whine to ebay about being scammed...

At least it'll only last a few months, ebay rarely sticks to their guns.

wei lu sent my game haha, damn scammer what do we do leave feedback or close my paypal dispute? Can they get back at us, walmart orders shows that we received the game, if the credit cards are stolen.

Well my order arrived today. Same as everyone else it is from Walmart.com.

Not sure if I should close my paypal dispute just yet though. I may wait and see if their is any repercussions considering that it is a bit strange.

I purchased Heavy Rain from this Jang Gun guy on eBay over a week ago and my copy still hasn't arrived. He hasn't even shipped my game yet. I have yet to receive a shipping confirmation or tracking number and he won't return any of my emails. I have also filled a dispute with PayPal which has recently been escalated to a claim. He posted one message in the PayPal dispute saying that he was trying to sort his information out on ebay and everything would be fine. He said he would ship my game in 3-5 days but that never happened. I am continuing with my claim and hopefully I will be reimbursed the money that I lost to this scammer. I should have known that this deal was too good to be true.

Honestly I'm surprised some of you are fine with buying games from carders. Sure, I like getting good deals as much as the next guy, but I'm not gonna help a guy commit fraud.

Ya thats it, a guy puts a game on EBay and we know its fraud. so all auctions are fraud until it hits a price. anyways $30 is a black friday price for a game. guess your sorry you missed out on the deal. Sorry got to play my game some more.

This wasn't a "deal." You received property that was paid for with a stolen credit card.

Did we get confirmation that is actually the case here? If so, I must have read over that.

SlammedNiss, there's no way to confirm it, but I think it's highly likely--especially if he's sending you games from Wal-Mart and is no longer a registered ebay seller/user.

Exactly. That's two strikes right there, and the third is that the name on the credit card does not match the name on the PayPal account.

Except this is a brand new game which is priced at $60 everywhere, and was purchased for $60 from walmart.
If you think helping carders is a good "deal" then have one when one of your cards gets stolen and has a few hundred dollars charged on it for games from a carder.
