Well, I've been waiting for a deal to get Mercenaries, so looks like this is it. I grabbed Mercenaries - $19.99 and MX vs ATV Unleashed - $17.99, for a total with shipping and tax of $24.13.

Thanks OP. Now I have to go rest my credit card. Thanks to CAG I've been doing way too much damage lately! Got a good backlog of games to get to :D
 
i was holding off forever until i saw new super mario jump in there used so i got that and MK shaolin monks for $30..damn you CAG! i spent sooo much since joining the site =[

I saw Mercenaries (PS2) in CompUSA for $10 new the other day.

Most stores wouldnt mind switching you the box and games, and you can return a used game even if you just dont like it and get full credit back.. Online gives you 30 days.. In store purchases 7 days.

BTW: I work at Corp.. So I know.

Seems like the "free" game I ordered is back-ordered but the regular priced game has been shipped. So, if they decided to cancel the backordered item in the future (it is a ps1 game which they'll stop allowing traded in starting next month), all they have to do is refund me $0.00?

I haven't seen Mercenaries in any stores near me for quite some time. It seems like is disappeared pretty fast. But maybe that's just in my area - Washington D.C.

Supposedly they're "working on that issue", but I'm sure it will be resolved around the time the last Edge card expires. There's no reason to use it anyway, CAG15 is a better deal.

there should be a reason to use it, since we used to be able to stack coupons. Oh well, I called their CS 4 times to complain about the ability to use my edge card and got a gift card for it. :) (had to go into the store to get the card though...)

Just received my two games. Monster Hunter was still sealed but had a used sticker on it (somebody must have sold it back without even trying it) and ICO had a case but no manual. I expected to just get disc only after hearing everyone else. I'm happy I took a chance...this time.

BUT they sent me a disc only copy of Vandal Hearts 1 instead.

I want to kill whoever packed my order.
Now I need to email them to see what I should do. I don't think they'll let me return it in store (returning Vandal Hearts 1 with a Vandal Hearts 2 receipt just screams SCAM).
 
received disc of silent hill 3 , and my free silent hill 1 is backordered. I already emailed them for an RMA # to return. When will I learn that used games and EBGAMES sucks donkey dick

Do you mean exchange it? On what grounds? It's hard to say a cartridge "doesn't work". I got Super Mario DS in one those Nintendo refurbished bags, which was disappointing, but I didn't see any way to exchange it.
 
I got my order today. SLAI and Monster Hunter both like new with case and manuals. Colony Wars 3 was disc only.
Seeing as it's an old PS1 game that I want more for the experience than as a collector's item I'm pretty unbothered though.
 
I take the cake here folks. Free game backordered, and my Castlevania: Symphony of the Night came in three pieces. Literally. Half of the disc, prolly 60% of the other half and 40% of the other half. It looked ripped into thirds. The case? hundreds of pieces of plastic. The box? Well, don't even ask... at least I have the packing slip to take back.

I think yours and mine shipped one after the other...my shipping box looks like it has a boot print on it...Timberlands if I am not mistaken. I ordered Gotcha Force and Rival Schools was free. Rival Schools double case was shattered, one of the disks was cracked and the other had the blockbuster label holding it together in many pieces. Gotcha Force came in the original case, but was missing the manual and scratched to hell. I think these are going back.

Post Morning Update - Gamestop/EBgames.com experiment over...Conclusion...Never buying pre-owned from them again, and I will seriously consider not buying new from them either. It's a damn shame too, I loved EBGames!

Z-Saber is right! I abstain from now on.
 
Sorry to hear that many of you are learning the lesson I already have. used games from the website are next to worthless. Who cares if its buy1get1 free when none of the games work, if they even get to you in one piece?

I just hope that somewhere, some Gamestop exec is holding up a chart that shows online sales down 500% since the merger. Most companies that aquire other companies will take the aspects of the aquired corp that worked well, and incorporate them into their own business model.... not Gamestop...
 
got my package today

Sprint cars (ps2) Disc only

world championship poker 2 (PSP) complete but the holder is broken (game wont sit in case) the game is scratched all to hell. Not the plastic protector around the game but game itself is scratched.


well the sprint cars will not load up and they will not take the game back cause it was the FREE. game. they are saying there is nothing wrong with the PSP game its just scratched but it plays .

TOTAL BULLSHIT. I paid 20 bucks for a piece of shit scratched up game and a broken game. SCREW EB

i doubt i will ever deal with this company again though

I'm not sure how the suits there can think the new site is better for the customer than the old one.

They have to notice a drop-off in the used game sales numbers. I know CheapyD has. :)
 
i might have to recount what i said about them until next week.

I was able to get ahold of another company in another city and they talked to a local store about shipping a used copy of both my games to the local store.

So if they do ship them (they said they should be here saturday or tuesday) and both of them work then it was a good deal, but if they dont then i stand at what i said about them before
 
I'm through with EB and GS online. my past three orders have been disc only, scratched to hell and unplayable.
 
seems like most of us are pissed are gamestop/ebgames.
i'm going to start buying most of my games (new/used) elsewhere unless there is a super hot deal going on (used games will only be from B&M though)

ARG why does Gamestop hate its customers? I loved the guaranteed box and manual and the coupon stacking of EBgames.com... why on earth did they think that happy customers was bad for business?
