Whew, I'm tired!
Have to cut out the original UPC, no thanks.
They said that on my True Crime one and I just wrote the UPC number down on the orginal order form. They accepted it.

No -- that's not been confirmed. Actually, I think they're going to say you need to buy both -- honestly, EBgames isn't stupid and they do reserve the right to nig/change the deal if in fact there was an error.

I think you need to buy both -- the notion of getting a $20 rebate on a $20 game sounds too good to be true in this case -- the rebate form sounds pretty clear to me -- buyt BOTH.

Confirmed from my EB rep:
"I put in a request to have the wording changed.
You only have to purchase one of the select titles.
Have a nice weekend!"

Awesomeness....I take it that goes for the Tenchu/Alias $10 rebate as well then. So SF Omega Strain and Tenchu 3 w/t-shirt for about $22...I think I can handle that no problem.

Sorry, but there are now two links on the Max Payne 2 page. The second one is labeled $10 gift voucher but if you click on it, it is a $20 for either the xbox or ps2 versions.

There is also a 10% off code for in-stock PS2/PC games. If I use this code, can they deny my Gift Voucher form?
Since on the form it says: "...May not be combined with any other offer or discount..."

Ok now I'm totally confused. The first posted voucher is for $20 off either game. On that voucher nowhere does it say you can't use it with a 10% off discount. But on the new voucher link, the one that says "$10 voucher" it actually links to a new $20 voucher that says "either or" game, and "can't be used with any discount". I used the first voucher, because it was the first one posted, and used my 10% off Gamespot discount. Am I screwed or no?

What do you mean you used the first voucher?
How could you mail it in already?

^^ There's two links on the Max Payne (Xbox) web page. The first one does not say I can't use my discount with the voucher, but the second one does say I can't use the discount. I already ordered the game and it's gone through to ship, so I can't cancel and buy it again and not use my 10% discount. I'm just wondering if there going to take the first voucher link off and screw me by telling me I used my discount, therefore I'm ineligible.
He means he was going by the terms and conditions of the first voucher.
Exactly. I just sent them an email. I'll post the response as soon as I get it.

Sadly you gotta cut up the upc code on the game, when you mail in for the voucher. i knew this was to good to be true, otherwise i would have stocked up.

As has already been mentioned, they will usually accept a photocopy.

Ok, I'm sorry that I didn't read this, but if I waste any more time, I might miss out on my chance. Ok, I have an EB gift card. If I were to buy the Xbox Max Payne 2, how would I get the rebate, and also, would I have to open the game up?

Thanks in ad- freakin' vance.

sorry for asking this, but for the Viewtiful Joe 2 deal, you need to send the UPC codes for the Viewtiful Joe 2 before October 25, 2004. Even though the games comes out on the 11/23/2004. Sorry for asking!

Does anyone know how long the coupon codes (gift voucher) good for, is there an expiration date? Also can i call ebgames, not the stores but the headquarters place where eb.com is and do this or is it just online? Thanks in advance.

Thanks CheapyD

I also got that $10.00 voucher for signing up...how fast can I cancel, or do I have to wait 6 days?

MGS: Twin Snakes is 24.99 new when you add it to your cart. Didn't see this in there, but if it was said already, my bad.

Wait, so what do I do? Do I just order it off of there or can I take the coupon into a store and use it?

If you are talking about Max Payne. You have to order it from their online site, then mail in that MIR. A few weeks late you will get a rebate back in your email which you can type in and get 20 dollars off of your next purchase on their website.

I just got some cryptic email from EBGames saying they didn't understand my email, so I went ahead and called them. A supervisor told me that as long as I printed out the voucher (the first $20 voucher for Max Payne 2 that is no longer on the website), and even though I used my Gamespot complete discount, they WILL honor the voucher. So anyone else who did this don't worry, as long as you printed out the mysterious vanishing voucher you'll be fine.

The only reason it vanished is because it's not in stock. Or did it vanish before then?

They took it down after they put up another voucher that said "cannont be combined with any other offers". So I guess they knew they screwed up, and forgot to say that in the first voucher, then took it down.

fuckers raised the price to $29.99 in store as well as on their website for MP2 on the Xbox. Will have to hope for a temp price drop if you want it for $19.99.

UPDATE: Back at $19.99 online. Don't know what they'll charge at the B&M, but it rang up $29.99 this AM for me there.

Something to note - not a huge deal, but after instant savings The Hobbit is only $5.00, not $10.00. And speaking from a review standpoint it's not the best game on the market, but more than worth the $5.00 if you enjoy adventure and platforming games.
