hey is buy 2 dvd for 10 bucks still going on at gamestop? they had this deal for quite a while last week during early bird through out the weekend.
 
Glad the used b2g1 free deal is back (missed the Thanksgiving one). Need to pick up some games for some friends and family for Christmas presents.

how is EB in returning a PC game if it doesn't run well on my computer?

I am thinking of getting World of Warcraft, but I'm not sure of all the specs of my computer.
 
I don't think any store will take back a PC Game that's been opened. Once it is opened, it's assumed that you could burn it.
 
Hmm... well, I found Lunar Legend at BJ's today ($17, compared to $13.50 a/c... decent to avoid getting cart-only), so now I gotta find a couple other games to pair with Tactics Ogre in the B2G1F. Maybe Yoshi Touch & Go and WarioWare Touched?
 
For the OP and any other EB/GS employee: Now that the merger has gone through, are the 'Trade 5' for selected new releases deals a thing of the past, where individual PO titles would get bumped up to $10 credit? There seems to be this new obsession with 10% bonus, which is basically worthless since the highest bonus would be around $3. Any insider info?

I have no idea, but my guess is that since the next generation is coming (PS3, Revolution and XBOX360) those are the games that will get the extra bump up. Meanwhile PS2/XB/GC games to EB/Gamecrazy/Gamestop etc will be selling like N64/PSOne/Dreamcast games in a few years so they prob don't want to spend too much money to buy them from customers, and instead they will focus on buying what is in store for the future (PSP,360, PS3 etc.) because those will generate more profit.
 
It's good that the B2G1 sale is here, but the the prices for used games in the EB/Gamestop stores in my area are too high compared to online prices. Unless something catches my eye, I gotta pass. Metroid Prime Echoes and MGS3 sound like good pickups though.

Where have you been for the last few months, this game has dropped just about everywhere. My local Wal Mart has copies at $19.99 and I believe its the same at Toys R Us. But $14.99 is still better, but it hasn't been 49.99 for a while. =]
 
I am hoping that my EB has some used xbox 360 games. if they have good ones, I'll do the deal.
 
the b2g1 free will be decent for me- i will most likely be buying up cheap games(GH titles and such) but none of those new games really look like good deals to me
 
I'll be grabbing Metroid Prime: Echoes. Hopefully there will be some good games to grab for the B2G1 sale as well.

That would be sick, but I'm already checking out the B2G1F, so won't hurt to ask about the 25% off. (Umm... 35% off total plus B2G1F... that's 65% off three 29.99 used games.)

If this is true I will be walking out of my local EB with a VERY big bag! After Edge, then 25% off all po games, then buy2get1free thats up to 68% off each game. Sounds too good to be true.

The bundle would count for the system, yes, but not for the system and game.

How does picking the "free" game work? Do they pick the cheapest game you picked? Or do they take the average of the games you buy and the average of those 2 games is the price of the free game?

Cheapest priced game is what becomes free, but if you buy three $30 games that just one of the 3 will be free.

Figured that I'd add in that this is stackable with the GS/Edge card too. Most trade in promos at GS never do this.
 
25% off in addition? that sounds like BS to me. it would be commiting profit suicide. that guy on slickdeals just sounds like an idiot.

what's this about? Edge card only gets you 10% off buying used games right or has something changed?

Yeah, I agree. If the 25% off is true, then this rather average deal becomes a red hot one. 25% off in addition just seems too good to be true. Are there any CAGs who either work at EBgames/Gamestop or are friends of employees, and can confirm for sure that this claim about 25% off used games during the sale is complete BS?

Sounds nice, but it sucks the "trade in 5 games and get $5 extra on each" deal from last month is gone.

Also, consoles themselves are trading way too low these days. :(
 
Buy2Get1 is working!

I just used it with my edge card to pick up Indigo Prophecy, Shadow of Colossus, and Suikoden Tactics for $63.77. There's also a $5 Pricegrabber Rebate for Colossus. That's $21.25 each!

And they have a ton of new stuff in their RPG Sections. Suikoden Tactics, Wild Arms F, Shin Megami.

They have a lot in stock now so now's the time to buy.

How does the edge card work? I have a bunch of games I want to buy and I wanted to get them buy two get one free and get the extra 10% off. I was just going to buy them online. Can I use the card online? Can I get the card online, or only in store? I can always go to EB tommorrow and get one if I can't get it online... What benefits do you get besides 10% off used games?
