Ebgames/Gamestop.com - Enchanted Arms - PS3 - $19.99 - NEW

Wow. That's a good deal for a very traditional Japanese RPG. I got about half way through the 360 version in a rental... but I could see myself picking this one up and going through it again.

What are the chances of this being in store?

EDIT: And one thought...this would work pretty well with the trade 2 get 1 if this was in store. Probably need to find a different PS3 game to trade with it though.

Just called a local store.

I asked how much was the game and he laughed and said $19.99, just went down today.

I'm in.

Wonder if I can do the trade 2 for 1 deal....

Of course it's in-store too.

And I seriously doubt that it's not excluded now that it's 19.99.

Awesome.

Thanks for calling.

How bad is this game if I want to give it a shot and play it?

I am enjoying this game alot. It is a very good JRPG and definitely worth $20. But if you don't like random battles in JRPG, then stay away.

Well I played and completed this game for the 360 and it is not that bad for the first JRPG game for the 360... Random battles, turn based combat,etc..

The only thing is that the battles are on a gridded layout so some strategy might be involved with some of them.

Decent game and seeing the spiced up the visuals and what not for the PS3 for $20 its a great deal..

I paid $60 for it on the 360 when it came out and I was pretty happy
Game Crazy will give you 30-35 bones for this game ummmm. Who want cheap PS3 ^___^?
You should probably do research before you post. GameCrazy dropped the price too.
Guess it sucked pretty bad to drop that low.

The 360 version isn't that low yet, either. Thanks for the head's up, OP.
Word is the PS3 version looked like a PS2 game compared to the 360 version.

Aside from that, the game itself is decent.

I may get it with some of my GC credit then. Thanks.

didn't the 360 version come out like a year previous? I'd buy it for 360..

Ahhh damn >
hello extra 45% at fye making it 38.40
Whoa.....

I dropped by my local Gamestop and picked up the last copy o_O

Guess I'll be on the hoarding scene ALL today :p

Got two FYE's in close vicinity of both Gamestop/Planet X Stores too ^^b, I guess this was meant to be :p

Can't believe they dropped the price to $20 this early after the 360 version has been out for over a year and hasn't dropped in price yet.

I think it's b/c of a bad pricing scheme for the PS3 version. It has pretty much stayed at $60 all this time and they never bothered for a $50 or $40 price point later on, they just dropped it to $20 >.>

Who said it was worse?

A year after Enchanted Arms was released for the Xbox 360 in Japan, From Software is releasing the game for the PlayStation 3. But is the new version worth the wait?

From Software is promising a large scale improvement in many areas. Most noticeable of which will be the improved graphics--textures are being beefed up to narrow the gap between the movie scenes and the in-game graphics, providing a more seamless experience. The story is also receiving several new episodes, and a large number of conversational scenes will be changed into full demo scenes. Multiple character poses are being added for existing conversations and new modelling data is being created to add further drama to the characters' performances.

On the gameplay side, a large number of new golems will be added, and the battle system is being improved with some tweaks here and there. The theme music for the opening and ending movies is being recreated, this time by an artist called "mink", and background music within the game is also being rewritten.

I picked up a copy at lunch.
I won't be doing the 2 for 1 deal.

I love how people just randomly make up things without any sort of basis. It's like they just make up something that sounds good to their ears.

I was interested in this one a while ago until I actually tried it from Gameznflix. It was *awful*. I guess not everyone feels that way but I was severely underimpressed.

My expectations for this game are EXTREMELY low, so I'm hoping to be a little surprised and get the feeling of "Wow, this isn't as bad as runny diarrhea, this is more like having an upset stomach. Sweet"

I just bought the 360 version for $29.99 at CC a week or two ago. I can't be bothered to return it just to save $10 for an arguably "improved" version.
Blocked at work unfortunately. I'm curious to see.
Which looks better to you?
By that comparison the 360 version is much better looking.

The ps3 ver looks darker compared to the 360 ver in the pics.

I got Enchnated Arms at a TRU for $19.99 awhile ago...hmmm...debating if I should get this for the PS3 for the new content and not let my PS3 feel lonely

Wow they really did change things around, the background of the city looks way different.

Gotta say, I like the PS3 version.
Look at the water on the right.

And the tones on their arms in the closeup pic.

Look at the draw distance on the 360 version compared to the PS3 one in the above photo. I'd say the 360 got the better version graphically.

EDIT - Or they could've switched stuff around like Dallow said, I was thinking that it was due to pop up which would've been really bad.

Yeah, I think they just changed things. Not a draw distance problem. If it was, there would be a 'fog of mystery' there.
