Ebgames/Gamestop.com - Enchanted Arms - PS3 - $19.99 - NEW

when will people learn that walmart WILL NOT accept a game from another store...

they scan the barcode and it will say that it's not a walmart item.

the only possible way to "trick" walmart into accepting a return would be to...

1) buy your $19.99 sealed copy of this game at eb/gs
2) buy your $59.82 sealed copy of this game at walmart.com

3) return your eb/gs game back to walmart.com
4) return your walmart.com game back to a walmart store

after all of that you would still be up your $30 to $40

Actually all the barcodes are the same unless there is a sticker over it.

thats not always true.

i have a friend who works for walmart customer service and they can tell.

maybe some older games like a gamecube or ps2 would work.

but walmart can tell if you bought newer games like 360 and ps3 games from them or not.

and when they tell you that you didn't buy it from them, they'll send you on your way.

And what do we have to do to send you on your way?

you know what he's right. PS2 games like eyetoy games and more does ring up. I had problems with the 360 and ps3 games. I thought that if they don't sell the game at that store, it's not in the system.

Having 2 accounts is against Cheapass Gamer terms of service.

listen,

i'm just trying to help people from going and spending $20 on a game they don't want and think that they can make $40 easy ones off it.

ps3 and 360 games not bought from walmart will not register in their system.

not all barcodes are universal anymore.

:censored: off

Seriously, the only thing I would do is say it's not mine and be done with it.

Reporting to the mods? Someone's a bit uptight

My compusa Virtua Fighter 5 was the same barcode as my Fry's Virtua Fighter 5.

Hey nonggame, caught you in the line of fire again.

And here you are in this thread bragging about your flipping possibilities again. (see page 1) are you going to say I'm pulling stuff out of my ass again?

I don't know what's worst. People like Richbastard or those that constantly brag about their flipping exploits. You even joke about buying multiple copies when certain DOTDs come about, but I hardly think you ever joke about it.

So I can thank you next time I lose out on another deal Mr. Hoarder/Flipper.

I'll probably get modded for this post, but it gets really annoying see that cat avatar popping up wondering how much profit he'll make off his exploitations. Remember folks this is Cheapass Gamer, not Cheap Hoarding Gamer.

Speaking of CompUSA I was able to snag this game from them for the same price so if you still have one near you that hasnt gone out of buisness yet and you cant find one at an EB/GS because of hoarders looking to trade them for cash you should give it a shot.

hey some runtsucker at cc wouldnt let me price match! i brought a reciept showing i paid 19.99 and knew for a fact the eb i bought it at still had copies in stock. but he was all, 'thats a mom and pop store probly refurbished get out of here'

I've seen it mentioned a couple times in this thread that the PS3 version has both Japanese and English voices, like that's some kind of bonus, having Japanese voices when in fact both PS3 and 360 versions have the Japanese language option. The only thing different with the voices is in that in the PS3, they redubbed the English, maybe even dubbed some parts that were voiced in Japanese, but weren't in 360's English dub.

just buy 2 at CircuitCity for $15.99 each after pricematch. The clerk had to call gamestop to confirm the price and check it if gamestop has it in stock. After a short conversation, they gave me 2 games for about $35 and I walked out the door as fast as I can to go to another gamestop to utilize the trade in promotion. The salesman needed to call his manager or st to check the exclusions. I got lucky cuz they obviously dont look at the email. So I left gamestop with Ninja Gaiden eventually and was very happy about it :)

Would this work with the Ninja Gaiden Sigma Collector's Edition?
Would this work with the Ninja Gaiden Sigma Collector's Edition?
The free game is a $59.99 value, so you'd have to pay the $10 difference.

Just got back from GameRush, got $36 each for PS3 Enchanted Arms (bought them originally at Gamestop for $20 each).

Apparently you can only trade 2 of the same game at 1 store (asked the store manager). Might have to score more and go to another one and see how it goes.
Is this game actually worth $19.99 to play (not to flip)?
I would say yes so far. Graphics are nice, story is interesting (I'm not TOO far into it yet), battle system is fun.

One thing I HATE with a passion (or one person actually) is MAKOTO. That fruit needs to go:twoguns:, and if I read a review correctly, he gets crushed :fridge:, but I don't know if he *cough* she appears again.

The music for the University was nice, and so far everything has been PS3 worthy. I'd say if you like RPG's, especially J-RPG's, then by all means pick this game up for $20 :)

Tried to do the walmart thing and it does not work. Lady that rang it up didnt' go through and told me that the walmart doesn't either carry it or no longer sells it. Does anybody know if they keep track of what games you returned because I plan on returning an identical game?

Yes they keep track and they will only allow 2 non-receipt returns per year per mailing address.

You should also know that this is considered return fraud, and is against the law. But that's your choice.
