How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

i would have to do some digging but I think I got a complete one the first time i ordered it around halloween
 
at gamestop yesterday i picked up Jumping Flash! complete, Zoop complete, Bust-a-Move 2 complete, Mortal Kombat 3 complete, and FF VII non GH complete (though the discs were GH, but that shouldn't be a problem on ebay) for $40.97. the first four were long box.

The price jumps between $2.99 and $4.99. At my local EB they have them priced at both prices. I never think to ask why, some might be the pack in copies that came with certain PS2s. Check your discs for the "not for resale" text.

I have a not for resale one... It came with my PS2 back in 2001. It was only $2.99 last time I checked at EB... actually all three editions of GT3 (Non-GH, Special NFR, and the GH) were $2.99, but that was a few months ago. I think the not for resale one has the coolest cover IMO.

This doesnt really have anything to do with the morning update but something sorta strange happened. I ordered COD2 from EBgames.com a few weeks ago and it took like 10 days to arrive via USPS (i used SAVER since it was preplayed). Sunday night I ordered Lost In Blue (DS New) and Nanostray (DS Used). I used the regular coupon codes (CAG 15, Saver, and my Edge card). Tuesday morning at 930 the UPS guy brought my Lost in Blue (keep in mind the mail didnt even run Sunday or Monday) so I got the game in 1 day. Today my Nanostray arrived the same way. When did they start using UPS for SAVER shipping? I also dont understand why they'd send them in two separate boxes since they both were in stock, that seems like a waste of money for them to pay for UPS 3 Day Select (they arrived in less than 3 days too) and use separate boxes when I used the Saver value shipping.
 
Same thing happened to me i ordered smart bomb and cliffhanger for the genesis and it showed up ups 3 day select for just cliffhanger which i paid 75 cents for. I was wondering also when they started this
 
I ordered a PO RE 4 PS2 Premium edition, and I swear the item page said it came with everything, the Ada Wong cell and BradyGames book thing - but mine came lacking both of those. The game is OOS at the moment, but does anyone remember if it was supposed to come with everything? I am going to call them tomorrow, but thought I would ask now.

I could have swore it did....
 
For those who ordered Rival Schools. Make sure you get both discs. I bought one disc at an EB b&m for $10 and had no idea it was a 2 disc game until I read up on it afterword. Either disc will play and has all the characters, but I believe there are different modes on the different discs, or possibly one disc is an arcade version and the other a remixed home version or something. Ive seen it other times in stores as well and its never been both discs.

That's nice. I ordered Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution on friday the 13 and it didn't even get shipped til tuesday the 17. That's happened to me a few times, even when I just ordered a couple cheap ps1 games with saver. It seems really random.

I've been having similar problems with all my orders. It usually takes EB 3 days or more to finally ship my stuff, occasionally less than 24 hours.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for when they ship UPS or UPS, other than I think if you have a new item or XB, PS2, GC pre-owned, they tend to be sent UPS in my experience. Since your Lost in Blue is new, that could be why. As for the 2 different shipments, it's possible that they came from 2 different warehouses West Chester, PA (until it's closed) :cry: and Kentucky I believe, and since the new item is still in the the order the picker shipped it UPS.

I've never ordered from Gamestop.com, but I can only imagine.

On a side not, is there an official date for when Eb's wharehouse and site are completely gone? I was talking to the manager of my local EB(really cool guy), he was saying that he heard that everything was supposedly going to die towards the end of February.

Anyone else hear anything?
 
Wow, there is an Elemental Gearbolt at the EB closest to me. I need to check this out when I go home this evening, hopefully it's complete.

Oddly enough, DWM1, and both DWM2s showed up at my local Gamestop a couple weeks ago, all three near mint and complete. I took a double take on the glass case before falling into a confused state, wondering when was the last time any big used game chain had a complete GB game of any kind.

Shining Force: Desctruction of the Dark Dragon i think it's called is $14.99 new at eb if you can find one. of course, the box will likely be open, but no biggie. mine was in excellent condition.
 
Got No One Can Stop Mr. Domino today and it came complete, so that made the $1 raise in price worth it imo.

Bah... that's about how much I paid a few months ago used ($25 with a B2G1F) cart only. Ah well. I don't recall seeing it new anyway.

Definitely no reasoning. You'd think for large stuff they'd ship UPS right? Nope, my Steel Battalion thats finally on its way is coming USPS.

It came to $11.99 shipped with tax. I'll take the chance that I'll get a complete copy for that price. I also checked ebay before I ordered and while I believe that you got one for $5 at one point, there aren't any going for that cheap right now.
