How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

fuck. The one day I need to go to school early is the day when we have a massive update. I wanted the Gamecube Broadband Adapter and Phoenix Wright :(
 
I hate this late update thing nowadays... It's either I go to work and miss it, or see it and end up late for work.

Luckily it looks like the only SNES RPGs I missed I've already gotten. How is FF3 still in stock?

So what is the deal, they just weren't bothering to update the last few weeks, and saved them all for one big hurrah? I find it hard to believe they received 50 SNES games and 25 DS games yesterday.

Castlevania:DoS for DS is $29.99 pre-owned....that'll be like close to $20 after CAG15 and edge....you guys should jump on that one - pre-owned DS games come complete....

The store locators are often wrong. It shows up that 2 stores in my area have 1-3 of them, but when I call the store and go to it, they say they haven't had any for years.
 
I grabbed the last Magna Carta for $33 and Alien Hominid for the GC for appox $14 after CAG16, Edge, and Saver. I've been looking to get Magna Carta relatively cheapish. First, it's hard to find. Second, it has mediocre reviews so I didn't want to pay $45. And third, the last time they got two in I skipped and it's been two weeks since they got any more.

Also, they had a good update last night.

man i had a major headache last night and popped 4 advils... knocked me out cold till around 9am... seems missed one hell of an update.... on the good side my credit card isnt buring for how much cash i blew LOL rocko side joke there
 
The one morning I don't check DS games when I wake up and Phoenix Wright was in stock (for 19.99 b/c no less). That was really a killer update today. I sort of resent getting a 360 so soon, and feeling obligated to spend money on that, or else I'd be all over this stuff.

Ok, It took them long enough to get things online. But 56k? Your joking right? That's not enough to have any voice while playing at all. It takes at least 28.8kbps for low quilty voice. And then you have to transmit data for gameplay? They need to go with HSIA like XBOX & PS2 did. But then of course, why am I even talking about this, Nintedo Revolutions is coming out next year =)

Lol since when did gamecube promise voice during online gameplay.
 
Sounds like hell of an update. I showed up three hours and still got Suikoen and Power Stone. I wish I had a piece of Staarang's haul though. Good job.
 
From the Dreamcast goodies to the copious numbers of rare/sought-after titles being tossed up there along with excellent repricings (and horrible ones)...this was one hell of a morning update, to say the least.

I came late to the party so I only snagged Pirates of Dark Water and Silhouette Mirage, but I can't complain. Sonic Rush, Chaos Field, and Thunder Force V are looking quite good, though...
 
There are still copies of Powerstone for the DC for $12.99.

A little-known trick... all DC (and classic) games are 50% off at EB (If the deal is still goin on.. I think it's a permanent one).

Buy the games online, then return them to a friendly store to get the correct price, ie, repurchase the game at the 50% price and get your partial refund.

This is not illegal. This is not immoral. In fact, an EB District Manager suggested it to me when I was asking him about the location of DC games and how many are available online, but for full price.

Try it out. Get yourself Powerstone for $6 :)

Beautiful, seriously. And they're still 50% off? In that case I have to run down to my EB and pick up a handful of great games.
