FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 8am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.t

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

How do I find links to games that are currently out of stock?
Use the following Google link and replace "gameyouwantgoeshere" with the name of the game you are searching for. [thanks radjago]

My guitar for guitar hero was screwed up too. Holding yellow fret and red fret caused me to play the orange fret. It had some other minor problems too. I kept it for about 2 weeks, before sending it back. About a week after that, I got it back, but just the game. I emailed them, and I'm still waiting for my replacement guitar. But as long as I get one that works right, I'll be happy.

I forgot to mention this, but I got my copies of Mario Kart DD w/ bonus (average condition, discs a little scratched up) and Ninja Assault (awesome condition). I now have a disc only copy of Ninja Assault available to trade. ;)

I guess I was just too excited on finding Power Stone(mint/complete).

Editr: Not sure about my copy of Indigo Prophecy, as it shipped a day before and hasn't made it yet.

How many copies did you take?

Got my two preowned copies of Lost in Blue in today. Both in great shape, with only minor surface, cosmetic problems on the box. Not bad for $20; an OOP game.

Hoping to get a Phoenix Wright here sometime.
How many copies did you take?
I got one copy of each game, all I needed. Check the old thread, I was bragging about it on Friday.

And now that I think about it, that was some quick shipping.

Edit: Also, if you're going to quote, you might want to finish the sentence. I know it wasn't great grammar, but copies was refering to 2 games, as opposed to multiple copies of each.

While taking back my copy of Yoshi Touch & Go with the heavily stickered cartridge yesterday, I ran across a great find (imo). I picked up a complete non-gh Castlevania SotN, a complete Ape Escape, a complete Jumping Flash 2 and a complete Worms Armageddon. Of course the real find most people would care about was C SotN, but the rest were great finds for me because they were cheap and I was able to take 4 games off of my PS1 want list.

By the way, does anyone bother to look at the disc only PS1 games at GS/EB b&m? I skim through all of that crap...which has probably caused me to pass by some real gems.

I usually don't skim through the disk only games unless I have a complete copy of something and I'm looking to upgrade. Like when I get the games from the morning thread that have the blockbuster disk shields.

just a tip for looking at disc only games at EB - ask the worker if he can print you a list of all the playstation games in stock. or he might just let you scroll through them right on his computer. usually they're more than happy to do one or the other. makes it a lot easier to look through the games.

I got an email from EB that my copy of Frint Mission 3 on back order since December was shipped yesterday. So there's hope for you January backorders.

I put a copy of MVC2 in my cart and almost bought one, but remembered I don't like 2d fighters and would only be getting it to set it on my shelf really, and I shouldn't be doing that right now. I need to get games I will play.

I was working on my crappy tradelist and I missed the update?!? WTF!!!

Anything good? Castlevania Chronicles didn't come in, did it?

is that one any good or is it just as bad as castlevania 64
is that one any good or is it just as bad as castlevania 64
I thought it was bad...It was hard as heck to control. Castlevania wasn't good in 3D until Lament of Innocence. I still havent played Curse of Darkness.
is that one any good or is it just as bad as castlevania 64
haven't played either myself but i know people pay more for it than C64 so perhaps it's better. i'm sure it's no 2D castlevania tho.
Ikaruga & phoenix wright were in stock for a few seconds, then all gone. damn, missed them.
I think at least Phoenix Wright was a glitch with the website, as it's seemingly been appearing every day for a couple of seconds.

yes, someone at the company once told a cagger that some games appear on the website for a second as a result of the upload process, but aren't actually in stock.

You're right. I misread your post. I'm sorry.

use search function on ebgames.com, you can see them instock. They are still there. Yesterday's morning update, I used the search to search phoenix wright, it was not there.

I grabbed one incredible hulk xbox & one Zelda LTTP (GBA),, total for $17.66 shipped, not too bad,

EB really needs to stop using the word 'bundle' on their website. In the last two weeks I've ordered:

Pump It Up Exceed Bundle w/Mat (XBox) - was sent PS2 version, no dance mat
Karaoke Revolution Bundle (GCN) - was sent the game, but no microphone
Robotech Battlecry Collector's Edition (GCN) - was sent the game, but no extras

It's about the same. Konami decided to put out an official "remake" of the original and just phase it onto store shelves when inventory dwindled on the first release. Legacy of Darkness fixes some bugs from the initial release, as well as adds new elements to the game, yet this release adds its own share of bugs back into the game.

Gamespot gave the original an 8.2 and the rerelease a 7.3. They had this to say:
Once titled - more accurately - Castlevania: Special Edition, Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness is what Konami's first Nintendo 64 Castlevania title was meant to be when it was released early this year. Everything from Castlevania 64 is present here in an enhanced director's cut version, which contains improved graphics, sound, and two extra scenarios featuring the new characters, Cornell the werewolf and the young warrior Henry. Complaints aside, Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness is exactly what it sets out to be: a better version of the original. If you loved the first one, there's enough added value to justify picking this game up, even though it feels a little dated now, and its price is pretty steep. But if you're one of those people who felt that Castlevania should've never made the jump into 3D, Legacy of Darkness will do only a little more than the original in convincing you otherwise.

And can I say that I've never seen the Dreamcast section so LOW!!

13 items? Sheesh!

Picked up Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories with a Reservation Rewards coupon... we'll see if I can sneak that one by them.

I got my Tekken 5 bundle yesterday and both the game and DVD case were still sealed! The arcade stick was in great shape as well. The box was a little banged up, but I can live with that! :)
