FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 8am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.t

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

How do I find links to games that are currently out of stock?
Use the following Google link and replace "gameyouwantgoeshere" with the name of the game you are searching for. [thanks radjago]

Well, I think that EBGames.com has finally tapped out. My last 3 orders...Carnage Heart, Eternal Eyes and Ergheiz have been disk only and Eternal Eyes actually had a Gamestop Sticker on the case, among 30 other stickers. Which is odd because it was a generic case....I think I want to cry!!!

1 Chrono Cross - Pre-Played $17.99 $17.99
1 Memory Card GameCube First Party - Pre-Played $9.99 $9.99
Total Discount -$7.00

Subtotal $20.98
Handling FREE
Sales Tax $1.33
Total $22.31

Picked up Chrono Cross. Here's to hoping its complete and non GH!

And 10 copies of Symphony of the Night were just purchased. I really, really hope the jackass that bought them all gets every single one disc only, with giant gashes on the surface.

There were 8 when I checked (should've moved quicker to purchase) but I failed to buy one . . . this could've been a number of transactions.

See, for me it from 10, spend a couple minutes checking email, and come back to 0. Keeping in mind that the update happened a solid 15 minutes ago, this was not a run of 10 different people buying it.

No, someone may have bought 8 but not 10.

I decided to check the stock by entering 10 (to see how much time I had :)) but it came back as 8. But then I didn't have my credit card info ready . . . so it took me an extra minute which apparently made the difference.

Pretty good update,I woke up the exact same time the update was about to occur.I missed out some games entering the codes.I still manage to pick up zelda dx,zelda lttp, and dragon warrior 1 & 2.
So is there any chance a 1019 Card could come back in stock? Or are the morning updates over?
It's done, you missed them. It was a really early update today it seems.
Is this one hard to find? My Wal-Mart has a couple of copies of this (new, of course) for $20....
Not really hard to find, not yet, just a really good game.

i picked up an e-reader, thanks for the link. i've never returned any of the ebgames PS1 disc only games, so i'm thinking of having an auction with like 20 or 30 PS1 games and one of my PSone systems in box. could probably fetch a lot, especially if i put it up on featured items when fees are half off.

You can return them? Of the four PS1 games I've ordered recently, only one was complete. The other 3 were disc only in an EBGames jewel case (including Eternal Eyes, which I know some people got complete).

I have returned my last three orders that were disk only. i just told them they didn't work, and since the store didn't have them in stock, they refunded the cash. Once a while ago, they told me that they really arent allowed to accept returns just because they're disk only...but they can't help it if it doesn't work...;)

So I just got the used copy of Megaman Zero 3 I ordered from Ebgames.com in the mail today. I happily plugged it into my DS to indulge in some classic platforming goodness. However, once I booted it up, I was shocked to discover Mario looking back at me. Despite the smoothly affixed Megaman label on the cart I had mysteriously received a copy of Mario Pinball Land instead of Zero 3.

Now remarkably, I actually wanted to get a copy of Mario Pinball land eventually, and I think it’s worth slightly more than what I paid for Zero 3. But I’m still a little put off by just the surrealism of this event.

Have any of you received a mislabeled GBA cart before?

Ha ha, awesome. Is it a bootleg cart?
Have any of you received a mislabeled GBA cart before?
That has got to be a bootleg. Nice that no one at EBGames ever even loaded it up. Not that they check. The other day I saw a guy trade in a game and after the clerk took it he just printed off a label, stuck it on and put it in on the stack of games to restock.
If you're going to keep it, be wary of your saves. That's the biggest issue with bootlegs

I didn't realize that bootlegs were an issue in this country. I may return it just to see how the eb manager reacts.

Anyway the quality of the label is really what shocked me.

I can sell a Castlevania SOTN sealed GH for $60.... If anyones interested let me know. ..

Got my Magna Carta today, but it was the original version, not the deluxe. On hold to see if I can get a deluxe version instead of the regular. If not, here comes a return.

Acutally the last DS game I ordered Puyo Pop was actually a copy of Zoo Keeper with the Puyo Pop label on it. I just returned it and then recieved the correct title a week later no problems.

I have received a mislabeled GBA cart AND a mislabeled NES cart. I got a super puzzle fighter GBA case that contained a chess game and a contra case that contained a kung fu game (and annoyingly enough, worked insanely perfectly for an NES game -- why can't the good stuff work that well???).

Unfortunately, the EB clerk just shrugged when I returned the GBA game -- and I saw it back on the shelf the next week. Way to give a damn, guys! Like yours, my label looked perfect...I think it's b/c they used a real case and just switched out the chip inside.

You can switch the cases on NES games really eaisly, if you have the right tool to do it, some NES games only require a flathead screwdriver.

Also you can do the same with GBA games if you have a tri-wing screwdriver, its unlikely that someone actually did this though and your game is most likely a bootleg, i am sure if you return it and state the problem then they will take it back.

Just for laughs check the game (gba) for signs of a bootleg, look inside the game for "nintendo" and some numbers printed on the circuit board of the game, if it doesnt have nintendo printed on the edge connector then you have a bootleg for sure and you can definitly return it as a bootleg. If it has nintendo printed on the edge connector, well then someone was very clever and switched out the boards inside the cart! Also if it does turn out to be a bootleg make sure you give a nice speech about how its illegal to sell counterfeit merchandise in the usa!!!!

funny thing, there was a stack of sealed PS1 games at the local mom and pop shop. I was staring at it and something jumped out at me...Irritating Stick. Sealed for $8....oh yeah! heh...one less thing I need from the morning update.

Got my Mario Kart DD with bonus disc today. Looks brand new aside from a few EB stickers on the case. Also got the Hulk for Xbox. That's a crazy, silly good time :)

Nearly every game from the eb warehouse seems to be defective. It must be all store returns. I dont think they even try to resurface the stuff very well either.
