How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 8am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.t

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

How do I find links to games that are currently out of stock?

It's 7.50 ac which is a hell of a lot cheaper than what they charge for just the game

I do not understand what is so difficult about sending out 100% working carts. I returned Metroid Fusion and exchanged it for a working copy at my local EBGames store yesterday. Problem solved.

I should be getting the Gamecube Resident Evil 4 I ordered earlier in the week today hope they sent me a non Player's Choice in very good condition RE 4.
 
What is up with all these defective games? How do they get like this? It's like taking $30-$50 and just throwing it on the floor, walking and tripping all over it, and not giving a flying fuck that it's there.

I say this because, a Gamestop close by has Phoenix Wright. However, it's defective!!! WTF?!?!

I'm sure sometimes its a result of someone accidentally stepping on it or some equivalent and saying "Oh shit, I hope I can trade this in and they don't check it so I can at least get some money back for it". But I can't imagine that's all of them. A lot of people just don't take care of their stuff.

All of the above. EB never checks to see if something works. Also, you don't have to show any ID when you take something in to trade. A friend of mine used to troll around for broken PS2's to trade into EB. Until corporate mandates that all trade ins be tested before credit is given, everyone will continue to get these shitty quality games.
 
My Resident Evil 4 just arrived. It is a original copy, the discs and instruction manual are in mint condition, the case is in good condition the only flaw is the outer plastic is peeling back a bit. Eh good enough.

Got the last Time Crisis III w/Guncon. Finally decided to buy it after mulling over it so long that I missed it.

Nothing much else for the update today.
 
Hmm nothing for me today.Sorry guy,it took me some time listing it, firefox was giving me a hard time loading the pages.I guess it back to store availablity update.Yesterday,I was going to Circuit City and got reject on price match for the Xbox 360 live kit.I thought it was a complete lost until I found a complete Lunar Blue with pendent in nearby Gamestop.Is it just me or there is a lot of rare ps1 games poping all over NYC?
 
you'll love it, but good luck getting friends to play it. it has a high "gayness" factor. i at least got my cousins to play it, but they're more open minded and gaming friendly.
 
Bootlegged Trace memory???, can someone fill me in on how to spot bootleg DS games, i didnt think such a thing existed.

Again, I haven't played much of it but what I have has been a lot of fun. This is the LE version supposedly, so it is SUPPOSE to include the soundtrack. I have little faith in EB though, so I wouldn't be too sure. :\

Well, I guess I am not positive it is bootlegged, but it is for sure that the DS does not recognize it as a DS game, and would not even load it.

I check the store availability there is 2 Phoenix Wright nearby.I know the game got reprint,but anyone is interested i can pick it up and sell it for
cost of shipping+cost of game=total.They also got Marvel Vs Capcom 2 ps2 in the same store,too much for my taste.I rather wait for the buy 2 get 1 free sale.

today's update looked interesting...too freakin bad it occurred smack in the middle of my otherwise very brief commute. and i'm also cranky that i caved and paid nearly full price for animal crossing *right* before EB finally got some used ones. ce la vie I suppose.

I actually checked out last night when I decided to get Time Crisis II, and after completing the order, it told me my cart was empty, rather than giving me a confirmation. However, when I checked my recent orders, it was showing as order. Damn weird.

No such luck for me. I checked my orders & it's no where to be found. :(
 
Just cause the DS doesnt recognize trace memory doesnt mean that its a bootleg, it probably means that the cart was damaged in some way by some bratty kid, ie stepped on, submerged in water etc, or had the contacts on it scratched really bad.
