Being a new Indiana resident with an exam first thing at 8 AM this morning [and still awake studying for it, mind you], may I be the first to say that Indiana's treatment of time zones can go straight to hell? :D

Don't worry, as far as I know, they're trying to do away with the whole time change. Not sure where the status of that venture is though. Although it looks like if they did, we would be stuck in standard time, i.e. now when it's light in the morning and dark in the evening. Screw that.

Problem is that, from what I've seen on TV, it's mostly done several counties at a time and even the current ones that were mentioned a few days ago won't start changing their routine until 2007.

Somehow, since this exam is taking place in a Grad student course and since the majority of the class is made up of people from out-of-state and out-of-country, I wouldn't be shocked if a quarter of the class strolls in 45 minutes into the exam tomorrow and shout some major obscenities.
 
my roommate is currently sitting up in her bed glaring at me (it's 4:15 AM here) cuz I knocked over a shitload of things trying to grab my edge card, which fell on the floor, before super mario rpg was sold out, hehe. oh boy, i hope she doesn't kill me before i get the game.

dont see why people flock to super mario RPG on ebgames you can get them for around same price on ebay

hell one with box just sold for 26.50

I'm sure it was the system peculiarity where it flashes up all games briefly, then pulls the ones they don't have stock for. By all means keep trying for the game, but if it was really that brief, I doubt that there was a copy someone beat you to.

I got the N64 game off ebay a few months before the GC release for less than $20 shipped . . . complete with the official players guide. I think it will go back down in price as interest wanes.

I had a $10 new copy but traded it in for $13.33 (needed an extra game for the dead GT4 deal) when I saw that used ones were going for $6 ac. Exchanging my copy for one in the mail for a $7 profit in credit . . . priceless.
 
Boggles my mind how I missed Mario RPG (I have it, but just the fact that I didn't see it). I was staring at Kirby Super Stars for about a minute, but never saw Mario RPG flash up in the RPG screen. Very weird.

Missed out on Contra 3 for the second update in a row. I hate it when it shows up in search but is already gone. Of course, Cubivore didn't show up in search, but was actually there.

And Maklershed, if the error you're referring to is "Only one post every 45 seconds", it looks like hitting the preview button is submitting the post now.
 
i picked up a pretty nice copy of SMRPG at eb B&M for $12.50. not what i really wanted though. i freaking have got to get FF III, man my favorite SNES RPG. FF Chronicles just doesn't cut it, especially on Chrono Trigger.

Well there will be a version of FF III (VI) coming to the US on the GBA, it should also have extra content so why don't you just get that version? That's what I'm going to do, I'll probably end up getting all the pre FF VII games on for GBA/DS.

I think you're thinking of FF IV, I don't think VI will be coming out until next year. Also I'm not even sure if FF IV is confirmed for the holiday season in the US, Japan for sure but I haven't seen confirmation for the US release date.

It's going to be the Jap version of FFIII, not the American one. They are remaking the FFIII that never came to the states on the original NES.

Yes I know that, they are remaking that for DS. However they are remaking FF IV, V, and VI for the GBA, FF VI is the same as FF III US. All pre FF VII games will be on either the GBA or DS.

I thought they weren't going to port those over to the States, last I knew. It would kick ass if they did though.

FFIV comes out IN THE US on like December 4th or something... yeah like in a little over a month!
 
I still think they're remaking the wrong one for DS. FF1-5 should be available for GBA while Part 6 should get a kick-ass remake for DS. Oh well, at least I'll finally be able to own them all.

And is a terrible game. If you absolutely love Capcom or SNK fighters and don't own a single one, download them and play them with MAME. But if you're trying to stay legal, get this one. For $5, it's almost worth it.
 
I never played the PSX version, but if it's anything like the DC or arcade versions, this is one of my favorites. I like the CvS series more than the Marvel vs. Capcom series.

I'm not downing the series. I'm downing the game. The graphics look terrible. I'm sure the DC and arcade versions were much prettier. The controls seem sloppy. The fighting system is overly simplistic. The roster is tiny.
