ebgames woes

CAGiversary!
At our local gamestop they now require TWO forms of identification. A local law passed that treats eb/gamestop like a pawnshop. I went to trade in some stuff for the extra 30% today and couldnt do it. The only form other than my drivers liscence that I even have that they will accept is my birth certificate. WTF, guess I won't be trading in anymore

It applies to prince george's county maryland. I'm in another county but all the gamestops/ebs are in other places. Theft is a huge problem in the area and that is what inspired the change.

So what are the other acceptable forms of identification? Does Maryland offer a State ID? In Illinois you can get one for $20, good for 5 years. $10 if you're under 21. Good thing to have regardless, because you still have believable ID even if you get a ticket. :) Most bars, at least, won't accept a traffic citation as proper ID for entry.

offhand i can remember seeing on their list of acceptable id

school id card
military id card
passport/visa
birth certificate
state issued id card

Get a State ID for $15....problem solved. :)

Also if you travel at least once or twice a year, pick up a passport, even if you aren't planning to leave the country. The amount of hassle it eliminates when checking in at the airport and going through security, even for domestic flights, is WELL worth the $97 it costs. I never travel ANYWHERE without my passport for just this reason. They're required for cruises as of this year, too.

Blech! I was done with that county when I went to a strip club for a friends bachelor party and quickly figured out that theres NO nudity allowed in PGC. Not even topless. Why would I give money to women for wearing Bikinis? I can just go to the beach.
