In case any of you were thinking of ordering through Target...

The product page says the release is Jan 10th.
My order confirmation says Feb 5th would be the shipping day.
Here's the responce from Target.com:

So yeah...my copy will come sometime between January and March :) Its on a gift card, and i have enough to play anyways so im not too annoyed, but i figured i'd give you guys the heads up if your looking elsewhere.

Same here. I ordered from outpost but it a better deal comes along I'll just cancel the order.
 
Yes the deal seems to be dead now, i dont know if it was just a realy short offer or it was just a mistake but props to anyone who caught this deal.
 
I am planning on doing the free shipping trick with ebgames on january 9th, as soon as the website says the game starts shipping. I cant preorder cause if i do i wont be able to do the free shipping trick.

I just used the free shipping trick to get NFSU2 for gamecube for 14.99 and i bought an nes game for 1.99 and the whole thing shipped free. Odd thing is that the order came in 2 packages and i got a couple emails saying there was problems with the shipment but i guess they finally found the nes game i ordered... Dont forget to enter your edge card and cag 15 to get money off that used game you picked for the free shipping.
 
I may attempt the free shipping trick at EB. I don't have an edge card, as I don't really buy games at EB (Or GS for that matter). The Cag 15, will still make it worthwhile, though. It would be nice if Fry's got it in, though.

I have preordered from them a couple of times. Takes them forever to ship, at least for me I haven't gotten my games until 1.5 - 2 weeks after their release date.
 
So...it's pretty much been confirmed on the Nintendo boards that this game is a test run as a cost effective way for Nintendo to release 'niche Japanese' games into the US market.

If your Nintendo fandom supercedes your frugality, please consider buying this title directly from Nintendo.

I would just say buy it anywhere, I don't think they care if you buy it from their online store.

Not sure. Its been steadily pushed back. I ordered Saturday night and it is supposed to ship on Wednesday. Looked back yesterday morning and if I ordered then it would have shipped next week. And now March. If you don't care about the shipping charge, Best Buy should be shipping next week.

Hmm. Okay, thanks. I guess I'll just stick with my pre-order at Amazon. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll go back down at Outpost, but I'm not holding my breath. Wish I had found out about that deal earlier...

The sad thing is, for $10 more you could get it from lik-sang with headphones and the beautiful packaging. But...just for baiting me with the possibility that buying this game will lead to a Mother 1+2 release, or even a Mother 3 release stateside makes it worth the price.
 
I'm on the verge of buying it just to have it in the collection as "that DS game that could only be ordered online and nobody has" 5 or more years from now. But I wish I could demo it beforehand. I've read countless reviews and descriptions and I'm just finding it kinda hard to grasp what it is and how it works.

Well i sent an angry email to amazon this morning and i just got the reply. They said that the est ship date is wrong and they will be shipping it out by January 18 - Janaury 20, 2006. They also gave me $5 amazon store credit because of the mistake so i am happy :bouncy:

I ordered Pirates! and had to wait another month for it to get in stock. I barely snuck under the 30 day window.

Unless its a major deal, I'm stay away from Outpost after that fiasco.
 
Is the game officially out yet? I mean, if there any way these ebay sellers could possibly have the game IN HAND right now? Because I refuse to buy things off ebay from people who can't possibly have the item yet, ie. pre-orders of any kind.

If they walked over to the Nintendo Store in NYC, yes, they could have it. Otherwise, probably not. Unless they're Quigoni :p
 
Some people have got the game in ther hands now, eb games aparently shipped them out last night and alot of people got them.

Yeah, that's pretty annoying. If you want to save something I guess you could always plug your DS into your soundcard input or something, but that seems like a hell of a lot of work for something that shouldn't need to be done in the first place.

Anyone order for Nintendo before? I just ordered Electroplankton and they are talking about a week for processing. I was very uncheapassgamer like and did next day mail. I'm silly nuts like that sometimes. Do you think it's really going to be a week before they process the info? I have the email, the wait will just kill me. :)
 
I see that it's preparing the order, I'm hoping it gets here on Friday when I'll be home and not at work. If not, I can just have it sent again or I can pick it up.

That's such crap! The guy I spoke to on the phone who works for Outpost.com said the 29th! What the SHIT!
