Emulation on Dreamcast

I just want to add that, thanks to this thread, I was able to get all the info I needed to make an NES Emu CD. Put about 135 ROMS on the disc, and it works great! Thanks, guys. Going to do SG and SNES next. :)

SNES one doesn't run well. I tried to do it because my brother moved away with the SNES and I'm dying to play FF2, but it didn't work.. I'll try it again later.

Scorch, I made a disc with Dreamsnes, and it's working pretty well. Only played a few games so far: Axelay, Castlevania 4, etc. It's a little slower than the carts themselves, but it's good enough for me. You may want to give it a shot.
Genesis games run smoothly on the DC as well. Mine show no slowdown, and keep all the sweet ass sound effects.
What emulator were you using? From what dcemulation.com says, the only reliable ones have all sound disabled.

Ok, how do I make a cdrom cd to play on my dreamcast? What kind of programs do I need to download and what cd's work best? :?

Probably the hacked version of the emulator Sega themselves made for a "classic" compilation. Segagen I believe. Sound is playing but not quite on par with the real genesis.

I honestly have no idea. I got these discs quite a while ago, and they were unmarked. They have (I think) around 800 games on them. I believe there were three discs. The main screen is very ugly, but the games are cart perfect, with all of the sound effects, etc. I won't say where I got them though. :whistle2:#

EDIT: Okay, so there's no way I could ever play all of these games, but from the ones I played, the sound and graphics and speed were that of a Genesis cart.
How is this thread still open?

Anyway, I might have to try this out. As .. um ... research. Yeah, that's it. I'm writing a paper.
Because emulation and discussion thereof isn't against board TOS. Roms and their procurement is, however.

here is a website where people sell the emulators already made. they also sell xbox emulators but you meed to have your xbox modded to use them.

cd-helper.com

you do need to be a member to use this site but it is free. you can buy neo geo emulators game gear emulators, nes, genesis, snes, MAME, gameboy and atari emulators for no more than a dollar a disc.

I have the mame emulator. not all of the games work on it but alot of them do. It plays pretty much all the arcade games before 1992 meaning that you cant play any fighting games, turtles,or xmen.

there is a site where you can make a single game arcade emulator for dreamcast like turtles, xmen, double dragon.

I think it is

imrtechnology.ngemu.com

I wanted to make these games so bad but it never worked for me. some one tell us if they get these games to work
