Well i went into my local TOys r Us here in Buffalo and also seen the game sign on clearance for 19.99. They had none of them in stock out to purchase so i asked to check on the shelf behind the counter. THey had like 20 of them and took the price sheet i brought up and told me they were 2 different UPCS did they release a regular edition w/o the book?
Here's the problem.
There are 2 SKUs.
The first lists it only as ENCHANTED ARMS. This is $19.98. I've never seen a version without it, let alone one at Toys R Us, since it is an insanely new game.
The other comes up in the system as ENCHANTED ARMS w/ COMIC (or w/ COM as the screen cuts off there). The print out will read "w/ Graphic Novel". They had 3 "dummy" copies on the shelf and after 20+ minutes of standing around, the manager clarified if the game they had was the one I wanted. I repeatedly informed him it was the *SAME* game and that the one printed said "with graphic novel" which is a comic.
My wife sighed. My wife then informed me that she's sometimes embarassed to be with me when I "pull stuff like that" (apparently I was a little short when the guy came back and was presenting it like I wasn't getting the game for $20, and after 20 minutes plus--- I should have been. If this was an internal TRU issue, that's fine... fix it on your time, not mine. I appreciate the $20 price and honoring it, but don't take it out on me. I went, you had it PRICED at $20 (the only reason I even tried to buy it). As a person who took business classes (have a degree, in fact) and has done customer service for years, isn't half of it making sure the customer DOESN'T see what goes on "behind the curtain" ala the Wizard of Oz?
Alas. I got it, that's what matters. If anyone sees it on the shelf, fight it... but otherwise it's no dice.
