I have a Gears of War 3 beta code.

Please note that you will NEED an Xbox LIVE Gold account to participate in the beta.

When hosting a private Xbox LIVE multiplayer match (or local split screen / system link game), what gameplay option can you enable to make Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer gameplay match that of Gears of War's multiplayer gameplay?


Hint: This is also the default view when spectating players in a multiplayer game on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Gears of War are both "shooters", only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a First Person Shooter while Gears of War is a Third Person Shooter.

However, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer has a setting that you can enable called "3rd Person" in a private match. This will let you play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 just like Gears of War with an "over the shoulder" view of the player.

If you'd prefer playing against random players over Xbox LIVE, a playlist titled "3rd Person Team Tactical" is also offered.

The game actually says "3rd Person". This option is found under GAME SETUP -> GAME RULES -> GAMEPLAY OPTIONS.

Cage Match and 3rd Person Cage Match were Xbox LIVE playlists. They are not a type of "gameplay option" found in Xbox LIVE private matches, split screen, or system link games.
