Terrible, just, terrible. I thought he was winning the battle with cancer. He had a great personality and was a truly good human being. RIP Stuart.

Wow man. This sucks. He was my favorite anchor on espn. I just had found out a few days ago that he had cancer.

R. I. P. Stuart.

ESPN tribute video added to first post. Clocks in at about 15 minutes and really captured him as an individual and his career.

Also added 2014 ESPYS Stuart Scott Jimmy V Perseverance Award (Full Speech)

Scott was awesomesauce and looked to be the heir apparent to Chris Berman. A damn shame. He will be missed.

EDIT: Rich Eisen delivers a short speech about Stuart:

I admit I was a bit put off by his schtick when he first started, but I soon came around when I saw he had actual talent and ability. He quickly came into his own and was my favorite anchor once Patrick was gone.

It is a damn shame. I know he was a big family man and I have a lot of respect for how he has handled his circumstances over the years. Stuart Scott was a strong man. The good thing is that he can look back on his legacy and be proud. At the end of my life, I hope I can look back and see the positive influences I had with my family, friends and others.
