Hi and sorry for bothering everyone on CAG. I recently stumbled into a problem. [Making it short] M.S. Casino has free high speed internet (ethernet port), but only has 1 ethernet port in a room. I have 3 computers and 1 xbox I would like to plug into the room, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do it. My solutions were:
1. Buy a 3 way ethernet splitter which I heard would not work because each computer requires an IP address.
2. Buy a router for the 3 night stay at the hotel. Which doesn't work because I'm pretty sure the hotel already has a router or something to that extent installed and that would just complicate things.
3. Buy a 10/100 Network switch and split vast amounts of ethernet cables into each device. I did not notice anyone saying that this would not work.
This problem requires some thinking. And I hope I'm not bothering anyone >.< Which option should I pick? Thank you for taking time to read this thread and I hope to hear from someone soon.
