Ever feel like you aren't supposed to have a certain game?

With all the great reviews the game has gotten on the Wii forum here and how much I like amusement parks (I go on an almost weekly basis), Carnival Games seemed like an instant purchase for me especially since I never play the real games anymore since I don't need a stuffed animal.

I ordered it last month from Wherehouse.com, they showed 4 copies in stock. The item goes on backorder, yet it still showed it was in stock. A few days later it gets cancelled and I had to e-mail Wherehouse to put the trade in credit back in my account.

I then see Amazon.com has it, combined with $30 in GC's from surveys and from an order cancellation, the final cost was $9.99 shipped. After they finally shipped it, the USPS said it left the processing facility about 45 minutes away from me. That was 10 days ago. I figured it was lost and e-mailed Amazon. They were great and placed a new order at no charge and upgraded it to standard shipping (yet it still has a ship date of a week from now and the game shows as in stock, but I'm not complaining).

This is the first time this has happened but I hope I get the replacement. Amazon has amazing customer service since I could see a site like Wherehouse giving me a much more difficult time over a replacement.

At any givin time did you ever just think to yourself screw it and get up and go to a retail store and buy it?

Sorry but to me that just seems like to much of a hassle especially if it is something you really want to play.

I had a terrible experience long long ago buying a new game off EBgames.com for the Dreamcast(lol to let you know how long ago that was ) I finally recieved the game 3 weeks after it was in stores and they only said I has been shipped be patient...

So after that I never ordered anything online again until last year I ordered Children of Mana (DS) off one of those Amazon DOD sales and even that took about 2 weeks to come..

I don't know I feel the few dollars I saved was not worth waiting forever and worrying about it sitting in the mail box if it got delivered when I wasn't home..

he had giftcards.. gave him the more reason to use it and spend only $9.99. that made sense i think.

as far as the topic is concern, i had this problem with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. i saw these at 2 retailers, one online and one b&m. i was gonna get the one online but it disappeared, i knew i should have acted sooner. then i went back 2 days after seeing it, and it was gone. i missed my chance. i went to the corner and cried :(

I vividly remember playing Wario Ware Touched (DS) at one of those silly little kiosks in BB, thinking that it'd be a game I'd own for the system had I actually *owned* the darned system. Well, it took a bit of time, but I eventually bought an original DS when Gunstar Super Heroes came out for the GBA. I decided to try to find Touched for the DS.

I'm...still looking. I can find practically *every other DS game made* except that one. They made a severely small run I'm told, and no matter what store I search, I can't find it new. Nuts.

Check K-Mart stores. I actually saw not one, but TWO new copies of Kirby: Canvas Curse.. that's hard as hell to find new, just like WarioWare. I'll check my local K-Mart for you.

Besides the fact I wanted to use the GC's on Amazon or my trade in credit on Wherehouse.com, the game is OOS everywhere in my area including TRU, CC, BB and Target (I haven't checked EB/GS and if they had it, it would likely be an opened display copy which I refuse to buy).

that and electroplankton. i have found Warioware at gamecrazy and gs. but they were both cart only, so i passed. for $24.99 and offer just a cart? i said no. 2 months later while i wasnt looking for it, there it was a mint copy for the same price. it did take me 6 months to find it though. good luck in your search. i still havent been able to find electroplankton :(

you could try the gamestop locator and see if anyone has it within your range. same as well at gamecrazy although you need to be at the store for them to check it. good luck finding it!

To answer question in the thread title, every time I bring a game home and my wife gives me the "you have enough games" speech.

Like a certain Wii I ordered last year.

Well, since it was NEVER uhhh 'officially' released, I guess it shouldn't count. But, I'd like to add Thrill Kill for the PS1 to this thread, since every copy I've ever come close to owning was JUST sold to someone else. One was owned by a guy who was a manager at a local GS store, before becoming a manager @ the local FYE. Another was owned by the owner of a local game shop that I frequent.

People have told me how much it 'sucks', but I would still like to play this damned thing to see for myself. The videos I've seen of it show it as being graphically horrible, but it was one of the last 2 games I ever pre ordered fully or even plunked $5 down on.
