Ever give up on a game...and realize you gave up right before a critical plot twist or something really cool, then wish maybe you hadn't set the game aside for so long?
My case in point: The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I bought the game at the end of last April, played it casually for about two weeks, and finally got bored with it and set it aside. I had just reached "Return to Forsaken Fortress" and fought the Phantom boss where you obtain the Skull Hammer...
So, recently, I was browsing through my drawer of neglected games, and thought that it was a shame I never finished Wind Waker. I remember thinking it was really neat, but it just seemed to drag a bit. Tonight I was bored, and got the wild hair to pop it in and see if I was too lost after all this time. I almost considered deleting the save game and maybe starting over...
But geebus...I'm glad I didn't start over! I had no clue I was RIGHT before a huge plot development! Hopefully this will give me a little push to keep going and finally finish it.
Has anything similar ever happened to you guys?
