there are going to be three different consoles of xbox 2. One without a hard drive, one with a hard drive, and one that is a fully functionable pc with a cd burner!!! the pc version of xbox 2 will play all pc games and software. the only problem with the pc version is that it is going to come out in 2006 while the other versions are going to come out in 2005.

If you ask me, I am going to wait for the pc version because I need a new computer soon anyway.

Is the Inquirer.net related to the National Inquirer?

'Cause I am questioning that article's validity. No offense.

I don't buy it either. I think Microsoft would have announced that they were doing that if they were, but they actually did say that they were going to steer clear of the hard drive for their next system

I dont think so. They are fairly reliable.

I think that it is the philadelphia inquirer. This site has everything to do with patents and business things. there is nothing about bigfoot marrying the lockness monster. They even had the ps3 cell patent from january 2003 on their site which was on ign.com.

It should be credible because of this

If you ask me, you need to stop listening to blatant lies.

oh yeah like there gonna releae games that can use the hard drive even though not every one has a hard drive. Sounds like their gonna have a hard time marketing this also if it is true

They wouldn't release a HD and non-HD version of the console, it would make the HD almost completely unused, kind of like it is with the PS2.

the Inquirer site is a uk based site for technology and computer stuff they are pretty reliable i go there daily for my computer news and whats goin on with the big companies so this news can be tru just look around the site they most of there info is about computer and technology stuff not why keanu reeves says whoa !!!! all the time

Wow...its as if Sega re-entered the console market with "A great new plan!"

(I'm so sorry Sega! I still love you!)

The Inquirer is very reliable compared to regular internet news sites. Also, this makes absolute sense.

The reason MS got into the game busin ess was to shore up their monopoly (people buy windows for games) and increase it's market base (through xbox/pc hybrids).

If MS is still around in ten years in the game business I expect you will be able to play older xbox games on your pc while the latest games will be console only.

I doubt this for the reason that why would MS integratethe xbox with a PC ? MS has never wanted to make PCs in the past so why start ? Also a PC xbox console is just asking to be pirated. Can you imagine the mods people could create with a PC compatable xbox?

that's why I would want to get the pc version because of all the great pc only games and all the emulators and roms that you can get for it. It will be the ultimate system if they do this!!!

they have emulators for everything these days. They even have an emulator that will make you play original playstation 1 games and the way that technology is going, soon enough, you will be able to play ps2, and gamecube games all on one system!

They mention that the reporter saw a presentation which was covered by a NDA (non disclosure agreement.) If this was true he could be sued for reporting this. Makes me question how true this is.
