Excellent deal on the Microsoft Wireless Wheel

so no one has to click the link:

$90.87 + $13.45 Shipping (For me to Nevada) = $104.32

its been had for cheaper...but still a decent deal

Oh hell. Where was this deal Thursday when I bought one brand new from EB? :(

So far, I can't even play with the thing. I've been playing Forza for about a week with the controller, and trying to switch has been too hard. BUT, several people have told me once I get used to it... I'll love it. Guess I need to give it a fair chance.

As for Provantage, I believe I've ordered from them before with zero issues. Though New Egg and Buy.com are places I order from regularly, so I can't remember what I ordered from them.

In any event, smoking deal. I'd recommend it at this price!

Yeah bro, it's a huge change compared to the controller. I bought it a few weeks back. I'm forcing myself to use it over a controller and I'm getting used to it. I think you'll have better lap times once you get used to it. I already notice it and I love the thing. Picked it up at buy.com for $107 shipped wo GCO. Not bad.

Provantage is excellent. They deal alot with the business community. They ship fast and they always have good prices, period.

They ranked in the top 50 web site to buy from last year too.....ver y reputable.

Where with there a better deal??

WHERE??

No need to shout. ;)

Can't imagine anyone had it for less than $100 recently. Buy.com had the wheel for $103 briefly, and with a 10% off coupon it was probably cheaper. But they quickly raised the price of the wheel to $118 where it has been ever since.

I'd say Provantage is the way to go at this point. I tried buying one over Craig's List for $100 sealed, but the guy only responded once and we never scheduled a meet despite another 4 messages to him. And retail means you can send it back if you have trouble anyway.
Sam's Club has it for $99-$105.
They dropped? I got mine from Sam's a few months ago for $120. Been to 2 different stores since then and they are all sold out now. Maybe they cleared them out?

by the build quality of this wheel, the price should really be around $50. But then again it's not like 360 owners have a choice.

Yeah, I agree. It's about the same price as the PS2 Logitech DFP wheel and only about half as good. My wheel is 5 degrees to the left off-center too which isn't really that big of a deal, but it still kinda bugs me. Like you said though, it's not like we have a choice. :whistle2:(

I've heard that the older batches of these wheels are very flaky and crap out easily. The wireless wheel thread on the official Live forums has lots of people complaining about how their pedals stopped working and how their wheels are off center. Sounds like MS fixed the problems with current batches though (#'s 1,000 and up).
