I just bought a 3-month starter kit for original xbox which was clearenced at one of my TRU's (ymmv) and i just realized that it expired 9/30/05. I was wondering if there's anyway i can switch out the codes by calling Microsoft to give me a new one.

Sorry if this is a repost. THanks in advance.
Did you try it yet? Sometimes expired cards work.
The thing is, I wanted to be sure if it would work; if not then I would return it to TRU. So I didn't open it yet. Any other suggestions you can help me with?

I've heard that other CAGs that have bought clearanced subscription cards (expired ones), were able to call Microsoft and switch their expired unused codes for a new one. Is this true?

Thanks again.

I actually did call this number the moment I found out that the card was expired. The representative said that my "best bet" would be to go back to TRU and try to switch it out for a new one (failed attempt already). He also said that you could not switch the old code for the new one. However, I've heard from a friend that other CAGs were able to switch out their expired ones for new ones.

EDIT: opened it and it worked, thanks.
