Explain your CAG name Thread

I was thinking of something unique, different, and individual. So i got a notepad started combing letters together and sounding them out. I got panasonic.

I used to play the Decipher Lord of the Rings TCG. When the online game came along, I needed an ID and thought a "wizard" would be cool. Gandalf was the grey...then the white. Saruman was something as well. At any rate, I like blue and added the Wizard, here I am.

Some dude in Canada already had it for his Live account, so I had to add numbers (year I was born) for XBox Live. Since I was born in 74...that makes me 1934 right now.

Coincidentally, that's how Panasonic named themselves.

I was a big fan of the Image/Wildstorm comic Gen13 and the spin-off comic DV8 when I was younger. I was coming up with names for my first online name around 1996/1997 and I just took Gen13 and DV8, put the letters in front and numbers in back.

I once used the phrase "sidereal shift" in conversation, and it struck me as unique. Why I was talking about astronomy or stars or whatever, I honestly have no idea.

As a user name, though, I like it much better than the standard "SomethingTopical####". Also, I find it somewhat amusing that most people read it as "side real shift", which makes no damn sense at all, but that doesn't seem to deter them.

My name came from the initials of my band at the time (COA) and the x's because I'm straightedge. Pretty lame, but when I signed up for CAG I didn't know it would soon take over my life, so I just put in the first thing that came to mind.
It's my name backwards.
And it's my name forwards!

EDIT

The 1221 is there only because the numbers are close together.

Well, I started out using my initials and such as my online name (well, usually TC or something, because that's my first initial and middle initial), before 2003. After that, I started using video game characters (mostly Final Fantasy characters). I then came up with a unique XBL name, which became my name here originally and a few places. However, due to having a lot of bad luck with that name, I felt it was best to completely ditch it. I started off as "XenoKnight", because I'm strange and Knight is my favorite character class in RPGs. Didn't work out too well either, so I decided to alter my name. I actually knew someone who had an AIM name "TheManaSwordsman" or something, and when trying to think of a new forum name somewhere, I just stuck "The Mana Knight", because I do like Knights, and I do like many RPGs containing Mana (I do like Mana because it's magic), so I pretty much become a Magical Knight.

Over a year ago, I decided to drop "The" from my name when signing up (I would here if there wasn't someone who registered under my name slightly"). ManaKnight is the online name I've stuck to the longest time, and don't really want to change it. If I cannot have it, I have several variations of ManaKnight (most of my AIM friends know that too, lol).
