I recieved this email from eStarland this afternoon so I figured I'd share it...

Dear valued eStarland customer,

It’s a Nintendo Trade-in special, done eStarland style!

Now is the perfect time to get the best trade-in values for your Nintendo trade-ins, and by Nintendo trade-ins we mean ANY item, including the systems, that has been released by Nintendo, ranging from the original NES to the Gameboy, and even the Wii.

eStarland’s trade-in values just got even better with the Nintendo Trade-in Special. An additional 30% will be added to each Nintendo game, accessory or system. Remember, this applies to any item that is for a system made by Nintendo.

As you probably know, we already offer the most credit for your trade-ins compared to leading video game specialty stores, some stores even use our trade-in prices as a guideline to buy back from their customers!

Receiving the extra 30% trade-in value is easy. Just make a trade-in order for items that qualify and in the “My Message to eStarland” section at checkout, leave the following message:

“Big Bucks for Nintendo”

There’s only one catch!
All trade-ins must be shipped by (postmarked) by March 10, 2007!

Your trade-ins may be eligible for a free pre-paid shipping label! More information may be found here!

Don’t miss the Nintendo Days at eStarland!

*Extra 30% credit will be added at the time of order completion. Credit may be used for purchase or cash-out. Offer applies to new trade-in orders only.

Thank you for your business!

EDIT: Here is a message from chrischris the estarland admin....
We acknowleged this error and those who couldn't enter this promo code "“Big Bucks for Nintendo” at checkout, please write it down on the piece of paper and send it along with your trade-in for proper credit adjustment.
(Our trade-in checkout is very unique to reduce the number of pages you have to go through and if there is no purchase involved, you won't be able to see our normal checkout page where you expect to see "Message to eStarland" field). Sorry for your confusion. Any questions, please let us know.
I'm curious if they take Wiis, and if so, what 30% is of that.
They don't.

I got the email too.I went ahead and traded in Lunar Knights and Yoshi's Island DS. You might want to include its at estarland in the title OP.

Is there something wrong with me?

I just did a trade-in order and went through the checkout and I didn't see any "My Message to eStarland" box. It just went right to my invoice. I did see an "ENTER PROMO CODE HERE" thing but putting in the secret 30% extra phrase didn't do anything.

I tried it again just to make sure and the same thing happened.

So now I've got two trade-in orders open for the same two games and I do not want to send them in without getting that credit and oh god help

Just call or email them. I suggest calling because their email support has sucked for me in the past.

Careful if you go for the cash-out option. I submitted my cash-out order November 20th, 2006. Yes, thats 3 months ago. I haven't gotten my check yet, and ive contacted them numerous times. I've ordered a lot from them and thats been quick, but this cash-out deal has been a nightmare.
hw do i find the value for something? i was looking up DS this morning and didn't see it...
Just click on the green Trade It In button, or something to that extent.
I hope this also applies to in store since it is in virginia
estarland.com and the starland store pretty much never run the same promos. From what I understand, they're run differently despite being the same company.
