Extremely Rare and highly sought after Gold SNES!

Oh fuckin please! Its just discolored. Hell it looks like the owner blew cigarette smoke on it for several years

I swear who ever wins this is a total fucktard

I hope not, Im guessing people are bidding for the games more than the system.

Edit: I have a rare gold NES if anyones interested. Buy it now $200.

uh...its ebay, where stupidity knows no bounds

lol, i love his answer to the guys question " Obviously you don't know your gaming very well" HAHA! He got owned and he knows it ... i wonder why he posted the question though try and trick some poor fool into thinking this one is different then the other discolored systems, this is far from discolored this is the extremely rare GOLDDDDDD Super Nintendo.

heres what I sent him... he wont post this is his listing

Hey man, Nintendo never released a gold SNES... That is just an awfuly yellowed SNES from being kept over time. All SNES's during the end of the systems run were made with a different, cheaper, plastic and this is what causes the system to yellow. Yes system was at one point bundled with Killer Instinct (as a matter of fact I bought one years back), however it was never any fancy color other than grey.

Heres one of many sites that state the problem with the plastic : http://forums.nintendo.com/nintendo/board/message?board.id=legacy&message.id=183452&page=1

I could provide more info if needed...

And for the record, I do know my gaming well. :)

I just sent him a question that said, basically, "Why don't I save myself the trouble and you look it up for me?"

Let's see what happens.

I cant stop laughing about his answer.

This is the question i sent him:

Do you have a link to this article that i can look up? Why would this extremely rare, and highly sought after gold edition snes have grey plastic spots as well? It;s just a discoloured snes, i think someone tricked you out of your money. Anyways why a gold snes, with killer instinct? Zelda maybe.

Here is his answer:

do your own research. its not discolored. just look at the pics. i bought this thing new, and i know what i am talking about. noone tricked me out of anything

This was asked yesterday.

I can't help but to think this gold deal is just tongue-in-cheek.

I'm sure the winning bidder is going to know well enough what he's getting. (That being just about every cliche "rare" game there is.)

That is great! When I read the title I was expecting this to be an SNES someone obviously just painted (hopefully very badly) themself. But it turned out to be much better than that.

I just wonder if he bought it somewhere as a gold limited edition SNES and is fooling himself or if (more likely) he's just a prick.

Well, he does have good games in addition to that incredibly common and horribly yellowed (I haven't seen a worse example) SNES. (I can't believe I lost my complete Earthbound years ago. >_
It's definitely the games at are bringing in the dough...
Those games are cart only, and are nowhere near worth $300, let alone $100... espically the fact some of them have label wear. If the games were complete, then maybe.

The seller also added this:

To any and all geeks who search through listings trying to disprove them, know that I don't care. To the best of my knowledge, everything I have written is true, and the listing is going to reflect that, regardless of what you think or know. Any and all questions having to do with so-called "discoloration" will be ignored and deleted. Thank you.

He's doing a good job of covering his tracks and scamming people.

I think i might contact the bidder to inform him of this bullshit. What a pussy, he's trying to call us geeks, then he talks about his vast gaming knowledge.

Well... before everybody calls this guy an idiot, think about this..

In terms of promotion, it's genius. He now has more people viewing his listing, posting a link on message boards, and thus has increased his auction views. People could care less about his Krusty the Super NES... it's the lot of RPG's that everyone wants.
it's the lot of RPG's that everyone wants.
That are barely worth $100, let alone $300.

The label damage on the Chrono Trigger + Lufia diminish those, and the rest of them aren't too pricey cart only.

I think it's idiot ebayers who are believing this is reallly a "limited gold SNES", sadly enough.

It won't be genious when the guy gets his snes and figures out it's just a dirty smelly old discoloured piece of crap, and files a not as described complaint.

Someone should make an auction "the guy selling the gold SNES is a douche" and say you are selling a joke or something.

What has 4 arms and is hairy?

I dunno but the guy at (link to website) here is a total douche and a liar.

LOL he has finally backed down ... dick. Read the latest Q, and his pussy answer. As soon as the guy threatens to file a report. OWNED

since when can you use the excuse "i didnt know what the item was, therefore its not fraud"... fraud is fraud... its the law, no ways around it.

my favorite part is that he posted up the questions!!!!

you have to actually approve that function; all questions don't automatically post to your listing. he could've easily unchecked the box that says "add this question to your listing" (or whatever), but apparently he'd rather post up the questions/accusations and then ugly up his own auction struggling to deny them.

classic.
