Eye of Judgement Discussion Thread

I love it, but the depth ATM is lacking due to limit of card veriety. once the second expansion comes out, that's when the game has more of a chance of growing strong legs.

on a side note, I found a site (forgot it already) that sells sets of 3 of every common in the game for $7.99. not bad if you are lacking alot and don't want to spend a ton on boosters or boxes.

I finally played the game and found it very cool. I can't play online yet (says something about registering cards online). I still need to get a USB extension cord so I can play the game on a hard surface and in light

Go under deck creation and then click register deck. You have to show the eye the cards in order to register the deck. If you have multiple cards in your deck you have to show both at the same time.
anyone have tips for beating the CPU decks on the second run through. The fire deck was a sinch, but all the other ones are a pain in the ass.
Cheat. That's how I did it. It was pretty easy.

I really didn't want to do that, but seeing as how nearly impossible most of the requirements are, I guess I will.

Just got this game at Christmas, I'm absolutely loving it. I got my ass handed to me a few times over at first, but after a bit of thought and a complete deck overhaul, I've been doing pretty well. I think boosters and deck building are about to become an addiction, though.

I just went out and picked up like 12 boosters. Pulled some pretty badass stuff.

Pulled a Pursuer of Saint Dhees. 6mana/6activ 4hp/5+attack, fire aspect. Pursuer of Saint Dhees ' attack is equal to 5+ the number of other creatures on the board. The activation cost to attack with PSD is 5 less than listed. Rare. Immediatly going into the deck.

Exalted Elven Deity: 9/5costs 9hp/3atk Targets all enemies on non-wood fields, destroy if on Biolith. Ultra Rare. Also pulled the Novorus Gravekeeper, the Earth version of this card.

Was hoping to pull some of the Biolith URs though, I love my Biolith pre-construct and they're just cool.

nice. I'm hoping to pick up most of the fire cards since I find them playing the way I like alot...

I'm learning that in order to have a good well rounded deck you need to try and have a deck split into to elements so you're not screwed over so easily. An easy way of doing this is if you have a fire deck, instead of having fire titans, use the wood or other elemental titan.

Or you could just say forget it and go heavy Biolith. Though, almost all Bios have Summon Lock on them.

I really cant wait for expansion 1 to see where the game goes from here. I'd really like to see some nasty combo heavy plays.

What? Oh son of a bitch, I completely missed that. That makes the earthquake cards a bit more useful.

They did a pretty poor job on the manual.

This game sounds pretty cool was thinking of picking it up becuase it is on a deal hear at the moment in the UK

I went out to Gamestop today for the B2G1, had some extra credit, figured "what the hell" and bought their last 3 booster packs. I managed to score a phantom, in my first 3 boosters! I think Warden Hilda is just about the best card in my deck now, too, heh. :bouncy:

I still haven't gotten a phantom. :(

I'm a bit new to the game. But I've been playing the following way: library face down, draw a card from the library, continue with all the phases. However I read on another board that they spread the deck face up over the table in their own little piles so they can find a certain card faster. Is that the way you are suppose to play?

When playing online, the game does the shuffling and drawing for you, which is why people play with their cards laid out. This keeps people from using stacked decks or swapping cards out of the eye's view, since the game knows what you've got at any given time.

That's how you should play unless you're playing online. When playing online I have my deck sorted by colors.

I just got the game and would love to play with new people. If anyone's game send me a friend invite ...just put cag in the message.

yeah, you can play offline. there's also a link in this thread to a site that helps track cards and card rarity.
I finally got around to playing this for the first time today. It's pretty awesome even though I have no idea what I'm doing.
Ditto. :) I need to read the manual.

i still haven't learn how to play the card game yet... i really want though, maybe i should set some time a side and get that done!

also, I recommend on people to hold out on getting cards from the first set due to (this happens with all CCGs and TCGs) the second set giving a deeper and more specific play style for cards. Also, usually later sets have more powerful cards vs. first sets due to the first set lacking new rules.

Update about the second set of cards that'll be coming out.

Just in case you missed it (or you just got your PS3 this holiday) THE EYE OF JUDGMENT hit stores last year introducing a whole new way to play with your PS3. Combining the best elements of trading card gaming, the new PLAYSTATION Eye, and next gen console tech, EOJ started waves through the gaming community. Since its launch, the EOJ community has started growing, and fast! We have seen dedicated Web sites spawning all over the net and we have read that the community is hungry for more cards. Well, today we have some good news!

We just received our first batch of Set 2 US cards from the Wizards of the Coast printing factory. Stay tuned for upcoming release info and more details, but for now take a sneak peek of some of the new cards, creatures and abilities that will for sure shift people’s gameplay styles. I’m sure there will be lots of questions - we’ll try to answer them all, both in the comments below and on the official EOJ forums.

Just when you thought that was all, visit Joystiq to see a brand new spell to cast- “Lament for Clare Wil”

Enjoy!

well with every first set, the cards are pretty damn basic. Set 2 and beyond make up the meat of a TCG in the long run.

I'm going to pick up a set 1 earth deck since it has all the rest of the set 1 cards I want and need. From there when set 2 releases I'll be picking up primarily fire based stuff for a Lizard based deck.

So was there ever any over powered cards in set 1? The only one I can recall off the top of my head is Healing Shower, and that's a common card >_>

Edit: Actually, anyone up for a game sometime later tonight? I could give it a shot.
