That kind of thinking is the problem with Americans. Totally arrogant.
Evil sounds like a corny word to describe America, so I will instead say that it is an arrogant, wastful, destructive crybaby of a country. At least, some people in it and a lot of it's current leaders are. I know that a lot of people want to change the "destructive" and "wasteful" parts. I won't say that it isn't a fine place to live, but England and Canada and Australia and plenty of other countries are just as good. It's not necessarily the people, but it's the dumbfounding, completly against-policy actions of our president and his administration. This could be a perfectly fine country (as in, one that doesn't rape the planet and start random wars), but it's just the mindset that people like Bush have that's keeping this from being a country that I (or a lot of the rest of the world) can respect politically. Honestly, when there are millions of people that believe in what I quoted, what do you expect? For the world to think that that's really wonderful? Honestly, America's problems in world standing are it's own fault. There is so much that Bush has done wrong, none of the world-wide resentment of the US could possibly be a suprise. I want so bad for it to be a better country, and if people want the world to stop hating us...then quit being arrogant fools. Ug. I don't want to get into this any further. It's complicated. I don't hate America/American's, I just think some things need to be quite a bit different.[/quote]
sounds good... maybe we can get all three branches of the US gov't to sit and watch the 2 spiderman movies over and over (until they hear Uncle Ben... With great power comes great responsibility.... I don't think this is only true for superheros but superpowers as well.
