Fable 2 - $49.99 on Amazon.com

A nice little deal, but you've got more than a year until it's released, so there will probably be something close to this down the line...
 
I checked gamespot earlier today. Possible this game is cancelled. Also, if it'll be coming soon u'll not see this game till Fall 2008.

You could always cancel your order later, it's pretty easy to do so.
 
If you seen the footage it's border-line on the edge of pushing performance to manufacture the game and what the minimum standard for graphics is. In other words a Fall release is not only expected, but you'll hear of a delay if Lionhead doesn't get their act together. With this type of pressure, who knows what will happen.
 
I ordered my copy, although I'll probably cancel it when the Fable2 LE go on sale and get that instead.

No way in hell would it be Fable2, it's just too damn important to MS. Personally, if the rumour is true, I think it's the Peter Jackson/Wingnut Halo game. If Epic applies the pressure on MS, Too Human just might die, but I think Dyack will get his game out. Someday.

What? I have no idea what this means.
 
Amazon doesn't charge your card until it ships and their website makes it extremely easy to manage/cancel orders so I'm going to go ahead and preorder. If anything better comes along, it'll be easy enough to cancel.

How necessary is it to have played Fable 1 for this game?

We know very little about the game. In terms of Fable 1 all I know is that this story takes place a few hundred (I think, maybe more than a few) years after Fable 1.
 
If you haven't played the Fable 1 you should definetly play it sometime. The Lost Chapters makes the game feel more complete and the game is short and easy.
 
I'm pretty sure i'll just wait until liongames offers a preorder deal for this one. As big of a release as this will be in the next year or so, I'm sure he will
