I'm thinking the same thing.

just did the google products and it says that Fable 3 is $19.99 at my store...interesting...i may have to pick it up...looks like it isn't a mistake after all...
I'd bite on this for $20, how do you tell if it's at my local store
i just went here:
http://www.google.com/prdhp?hl=en&tab=wf

and then type in Fable 3 and then click on the side "in stock near you" and then check the game list and look for the one that says it is in stock at Sears...
Wow... I think the game is only worth around $10.
I have to concur with that opinion. I really would wait on a Gamefly sale or something like that to get it under $20. I just felt that like this game really under delivered on soooo many levels.

Underdelivered and fable are synonymous.

It is sad that it is described that way so often.

I want the collector's edition at this price or I can wait until, the yet to be announced, platinum hits/game of the year edition with all the DLC on the disc for this price.

I might try seeing if it's available in Hagerstown tomorrow, but I know if I do I'm going to regret it.

picked up a copy from my local sears. they had a few copies and they were in the showcase listed as $59.99. had them take one out and ring it up. came out to $20. two employees picked up copies shortly after. game's a steal at this price and almost certainly a mistake.

edit: also thanks for the tip!
this is just for the regular edition, correct? not the collectors edition?
yea, just regular edition
Wow this game already has no amazon trade in value!
no trade in value? the tiv is $20. if that doesn't drop anytime soon, i'll gladly trade it in, getting what i paid for it back, and put the credit towards something new.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see the trade in button or a value on amazon's page when I looked the game up.

Edit: nevermind, trade in value is listed on the game's page and not on the usual trade in site.
I just picked one up at Middleburgh Hts. OH. One left in the case. It's still marked at $59, but rings up properly.
That's hilarious as I just picked up that last copy. :applause:

Picked up a copy for $19.99 at Sears in Stockton, CA. I did not have high hopes going in since I never find any of the clearance items posted and Google products said "Limited Stock." It wasn't in the clearance bin or the section with the latest games, and was actually on the end cap of the aisle with no price label. Almost gave up after spending 30 minutes waiting in line to have it scanned. The two people in front of me had inexplicably complicated purchases which apparently involved higher order mathematics to ring up :bomb: After the excruciating wait, held my breath when the cashier scanned it. Relief! Finally scored for a change. Thanks OP!

I'm glad I traded in this game in to gamestop for LA Noire. Fable 3 to me was a pretty big letdown compared to Fable 2. The game is much shorter and they got rid of a lot of the interactions you could do with the NPCs. I think its a pretty fun game but definitely not worth getting at launch.

Had 7 left at my Chicago area Sears. Label on the shelf read $19.99, which makes me think it's an intentional price. Either way, glad I picked it up. I haven't tried it out yet, but based on the reviews, I'll probably enjoy it. I haven't played fables 1 or 2 so I don't really have anything to compare it to :)

It's ok. Honestly they were all more or less the same. Listening to Peter molyenoux talk you would think you are getting a world changing game each time. Then after release it was a mediocre action game with some minor ethic choices and sim play. Not bad just not what was being talked up, and IMO not worth 60 dollars each time.

I read/ saw a funny article that lines up Peter talking about all the fable 4 games and what he wants from them. He bassically starts each talk bashing the previous one saying he missed what he was aiming for but will get it on the next one. He describes the same stuff each time so I have no doubt he has this grandesque idea for a game but looking at how little overall he changes the fable formula he is doing something wrong to make it happen.

Honestly, this is why I got suckered into Fable 3. I am never listening to his words again.

Nice. So it's basically like Dynasty Warriors. So I should be happy with playing one of the series, but shouldn't really care about following it beyond.

It's been awhile since I've been to a Sears, but I decided to look around.. a lot of older titles still $40-$50 each. Was going to see how much they wanted for Bulletstorm, but didn't have time to wait around.

LOL I never thought of Fable that way. I'll probably be alright if I miss a few of the next upcoming Fable games and get Fable 7.

I'm still on the fence if I should get this game. Fable 2 was alright since I got the Platinum Hits with the DLC on the disc. It would be nice to get the collector's edition of Fable 3 for about $20.

Went to my local Sears and saw it for $60. Asked the clerk if he could price check it and he said, "I think it was reduced to $50." He scanned it and it came back as $20. He said, "Whoa, I may have to finally buy it now."

Thanks OP!

Is the fable series any good ? one thing that creeps me out about this series (particually part 2 from What ive seen) is that peter monolyx seems to encurage players to have homosexual relationships using your character, and he encurages you to have sex with everyone in the village lol Why is that ? Add the dog and the game seems to focused on gimmicks

I've only spent a significant amount of time playing this, the 3rd Fable. I didn't notice any homosexual agenda in the game.

It might just be in part 2 cause from What i understand you can have sex with anyone and i mean ANYONE in the game.if thats true than thats creepy. monolyx look like that type anyway

Even more than Fable II?

just because homosexual relationships in a game are available doesn't mean that the developer wants you to be gay. it gives you the choice. that's all.
