I'd probably jump on this if not for Amazon charging NY sales tax. I think I'll hold off and hope for $49.99 or less.
 
I saw the PS3 version for $60 in Best Buy yesterday when I was looking for something else. I didn't see any copies of the $360 version, so I can't vouch for it being the same price, though I'd guess it is.
 
I picked up Fallout 3 collector's edition in BB for 360 the other day and it was $59.99. Then they decide to send me my reward zone coupons, so going to have to bring the receipt back and get my 10% discount, or buy another one and return it on the original receipt.

If you want one new, that price will only happen if your local Circuit City had them. I'm sure they're long gone at most though.

Ahh ok. I wasn't sure if it'd drop like Halo 3 legendary. I never know what price i'll find CEs at.

$60 is a great price for the game alone considering all that you can do in the game. Getting the CE edition for that much is like getting a bunch of freebies.

I'm glad I didn't pay $80 for this when it originally came out... ended up getting a brand new copy for $26.:rofl:

I'm gonna cast a vote for 360 since I'm not sure how you'll fair on a single core CPU and a GFX card that if I'm not mistaken hasn't been cutting edge since 2004. I'm running on a 2.4ghz Core2, 2gb DDR3, and a Geforce 8600m and could only run the game around 1366x768 at medium settings. Plus I've heard numerous complaints about the new DLC crashing the game and currupting save data on the PC.

The price has been like that on the CE for awhile now. I've got a laundry list of other things to buy first but I need to pick that up before they run dry.

The 9600 Pro is very dated at this point, so I'd say you're better off going with either the PS3 or 360 version. I would probably lean toward the 360 version, since the Gamespot review suggests that the PS3 version suffers from graphical imperfections that the 360 version doesn't. I doubt the differences are significant by any stretch though.
 
The PS3 version played just fine for all 90+ hours I put into it.

I'd go with the 360 version. All DLC will be exclusive to the 360 and PC versions. So far 1 has been released with 2 more coming soon.

The DLC wasn't a big deal for me until I fell in love with Fallout 3 so I traded the PS3 version and snagged the 360 CE.
 
I got the CE for about $50 back in December from Amazon. Unless you really care about collectibles, I'd pay a little less and just get the regular edition. Regardless of which way you go, it's definitely a great game.

I have this already and it is the sweetest CE I've ever bought. I'm actually considering getting another copy at this price, just to keep sealed.
 
if you have a Meijer close to you that has one in stock, they have the Fallout 3 CE for both consoles at $39.99.
 
If anyone plans on ordering one of these for the extra CE contents but already has the game, I'd be interested in buying the game off you (comes sealed in the lunchbox, fyi). Just shoot me a PM ...
