Fallout 3 GoTY deal. AND, Should i get F3 GoTY or F:NV

Keep in mind i'v played Fallout 3 once, but not the expansions. And i LOVED that game, clocked in only 42 hours though :(
Now i found NV pretty cheap and even though there are game breaking bugs and glitches (or so i heard) i am quite tempted. What should i do? NV or F3 GoTY? And if you recommend one of them, please support your answer with a reason. And the cheapest deal available online.
 
Personally? Neither... I had limited and infrequent problems with Fallout 3, but when I started to do the DLC on the GOTY edition I froze 30+ times (the pit). A common problem appears to be that the GOTY edition is far more problematic than the normal edition and just buying the DLC.

As far as NV, thats the best deal (LE is 30 at gamestop, in store only). Though of the two NV feels like less of a game. Many of the area's you explorer were empty, and the majorty of the game was lack luster.
 
fallout 3, its a better game imo, you havent played the dlc, so that will be new, and if you only put in 40 hours, you should have atleast 40 more hours of stuff to do.
 
I got both - I need to finish off NV (put in around 50 hours, and a good friend says I can see the end in another 4-5 hours tops if I just focus on the main story) and I haven't really played much of 3. For $17.99/ea used (or $16.xx if you have a Power Up card) I couldn't pass up getting them both.

You heard wrong.

The game has some bugs in which freezing will occur from time to time but it seems to significantly vary from different peoples' experiences, i.e. some people experience a lot of freezing and some don't experience much of any. The patches fixed a lot of these problems to make it occur much less.

If you save on a regular basis, it's a minor annoyance but hardly game breaking.
 
I was in the same boat as you were, i opted to go with New Vegas CE, as i dont think we will see that price again. Fallout3 GOTY might be there for awhile. Just my take on it.
