Fallout 3 Vanilla $5

Seems a little strange to be offering just the vanilla version for sale at this late date, but it is a whole lot of gaming for $5. Still kind of hard to recommend this "as is" for those wanting the complete experience since buying the DLC will be pretty darn expensive as add-ons.

Alas newegg no longer has the cheap DLC on disc any longer (everything except Mothership Zeta is available on disc).

If you know anybody who loves them some Fallout 3 on PC, the discs worked the same as the Xbox 360 DLC discs, you load it from the disc to your harddrive, then you are done with the discs.

Fallout 3, a game I really want to play... I bought the goty edition off of Steam a while ago, but have been having Windows 7 issues and I haven't put enough effort into figuring out how to get it to work. But good deal if you just want the game and that 1 expansion that seems to be the most worth it.

No it doesn't load on steam. Its not a Steamworks game like Fallout New Vegas is. Its an older GFWL title also.

This game bored me to tears and I never came close to finishing it because of that. I would like for skyrim to have a much more interesting story and characters than this game as skyrim seems like a really cool game

Make sure you at least buy Broken Steel along with the main game as it raised the level cap to 30 and allowed you play/explore still after you've beaten the main quest.

Yes, all GFWL games have achievements that will be on your Gamertag if you play it on your Live profile.

Yes, and the achievement list is separate from the 360 version. It's also the easiest 1550 ever.

Not worth buying the vanilla game, hold out for GotY. All the DLC is worth playing, but some are better than others.

why would anyone not want the dlc? Unlike most dlc the fallout 3 dlc is really good.
