Fallout New Vegas (360/PS3) $39.99 (PC) $29.99 w/free shipping at BestBuy.com

I'm severely tempted here........Anyone care to comment on the current status of the game as far as bug fixes are concerned? Have most of the major problems been taken care of?

I'd be buying the PC version, so any information on mod progress would also be helpful.

I know it has been patched a couple times so I am hoping any issues are fixed. Fallout 3 runs fine on my computer so I think Fallout New Vegas should be fine also.

Here is a list of some tweaks to increase performance and some mods that I will be using once I get the game:

I am tempted to pull the trigger on this deal, what do you think the chances are amazon.com will price match?

great game guys, you would be crazy not picking this up right now, it is easily the game of the year, I bought this at kmart for $45 when it came out and have been playing it non stop

It still crashes/freezes now and then but many of the general bugs have been fixed.

I wouldn't pay full price for it but then again I didn't. ($35 Amazon lightning deal - $10 GT5 pre-order credit = $25 with free shipping)

I'd wait for $30 but $40 ain't bad.

edit: If you are buying it on PC and don't care about a physical copy then I'd wait for the digital distribution services' Christmas sales.

Retail Keys of Fallout New Vegas can be registered on Steam which is why I bought it. I highly doubt it will be lower than $30 even with the Steam Christmas Sale coming up.

I took the Steam and any Christmas sales into account because I am actually going to be going home for Christmas for a week and half so if there is a better deal between now and when I get back to my apartment, I can just return the game to Best Buy.
