Needing a little bit of advice from the community on whether to establish a Family Gold Pack for me and two minor children.
Facts:
1. My gold expires 9-1, daughter's gold expires 12-25ish, and son does not have a gold account (but would like one).
2. Existing gold accounts established with prepaid cards.
3. I have a 3 month card that would get me close enough to my daughter's expiration so proration would not really come into play.
4. Would probably use the 4th gamertag for nongaming wife to use on Netflix.
5. Will probably be a long term commitment to doing it this way due to the overall savings. $100 per year versus $120 (at best) for three separate accounts. I doubt the days of $30 per year specials will be back.
Questions:
1. Will I be able to roll my daughter's existing gamertag into the family pack? I think she would want to keep her gamertag and achievements.
2. Pros and cons; or experiences of those using the Family Pack.
On the surface it appears to be ideal for me and my kids. Saves me $20 right off the bat for me, and also gives me the option of adding my son and wife at no additional cost. Gravy.
Thanks in advance.
