Family Guy > No Seth MacFarlane?!?

Fox is sucking dick.

That being said, I'm disappointed with Seth because if I were him, I would continue working on Family Guy and only Family Guy because it was the fans that brought the show back. These new seasons are for the fans more than anything. Stop working on American Dad and whatever else he does, but leave Family Guy out of this fiasco.
That actually hurt me when I read it. Arrested Development was the best sitcom Fox has ever had. Whether you think fans of the show were elitist or not, it was fucking awesome. Had any other major network picked up AD, it would probably still be on the air.

You may have also forgotten that Family Guy was shitcanned by Fox only to be revived by the massive DVD sales. Fox doesn't have a damn clue about programming.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Arrested Development (and admit there's little better than seeing a show die too early - far better than seeing a show die far too late).

There was no support for AD by viewers - FOX gave it numerous chances to succeed, and really put their hopes behind it. But people didn't tune in. I don't think it would have lasted as long as it did if it went somewhere else than Fox.

I don't think anything of "the fans," but it's the easy go-to sitcom for those people who mistakenly think that they have taste in tv, while "Family Guy" viewers are buffoons.

And I say that as someone who loved AD, and is only mildly interested in Family Guy (I remember being livid if I missed a single episode of AD, whereas I'm equally indifferent if FG is on TV or if I miss it).

The problem with american dad is that no red stater is probably going to like it. Half of the jokes are at their expense.

The same thing that happened with Family Guy, Fox was too busy promoting King of the Hill to pimp Family Guy. That, and the fact that it had like, 4 different time slots.
