I regularly stop by Family Video looking for deals. This weekend I found Too Human marked down from $19.95 to $9.95! Snagged it. They also had a copy of Banjo & Kazoie: Nuts & Bolts for $19.95. I would have grabbed it, but I am back-logged with so many games.

I've ordered quite a number of games from Family Video - I've never had one with a damaged case come to me and all the games I've bought online have had the manuals in them. Regarding the stickers - yes, there's a sticker on the disk itself around the inner ring, which can be peeled off and the gummy residue can be scraped off. no stickers on the game boxes though.

End War is a great bargain at that price, I bought a copy at my local Family Video store for $20.

Fracture is a steal at 9.99! Nothing groundbreaking but still and entertaining game.

Edit: Wait it is groundbreaking. Heck it's terraforming!
 
I agree Fracture is a steal. Hate the name of Jet Brody but the game was fun.

Also, I ordered Endwar and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and both came in good condition. No manual for Spidey:(

Way to post that late. Oh well just $2. The games come in much better shape than the GF games do. Even without the cases they are still a better deal IMHO.

Yeah I bought the orange box from them for 9.95 2 months after it came out. They mark down anything that has more than 2 copies and isn't renting so well. Right now my store has soul caliber 4 for 19.95.
 
I'm going to visit my local FV tomorrow before I make any purchases, but NFL Tour and Stuntman are tempting at that price.
 
be careful on their dvds, I saw The Dark Knight was fullscreen.

I ordered Too Human & Destroy All Humans for 360. Both came pristine, look brand new like they've never been played. No stickers on the discs, but one little sticker on the case, which was the first letter of the title of the game. Those will be easily removable when I sell/trade these.

Goo Gone, available for $1 from any Dollar Tree. Takes adheasive stuff off without a problem. Just be careful not to spill any on your cover art. It will sorta ruin that, or at least it makes it look like someone spilled fried chicken grease or something all over the artwork even when it dries.

Freeship for freeshipping? hmm i might get some more stuff.
 
bought Prince of Persia instore and the disc looked brand new and it came with a case and manual. thanks for the heads up.
 
They might would match the price in-store if your Family Video sells that title.

My Family Video...err...the name fit all too well. Looked totally mom & pop. They didn't have jack shit for sell really, unless you're into bad old regular Xbox games for $8 each or 3 for $21!!! What a bargain! They surprisingly had some fairly niche PS2 titles for rent. Crimson Sea 2 and Way of the Samurai 2 stick out at the moment. They had a good rental selection, just nothing at all but crap for sell.

I did MUCH better on the site, but I should note that my entire state only has 5 Family video stores. If you're in a Family Video hotbed you'll likely have better luck.
 
I talked to my Family Video and I guess that $5 for new members online and free shipping is a special promotion that 10 or 20 stores are giving at any given time, but the headquarters chooses what stores do it and for how long, etc. At least that's what I was told by the person I talked to when I asked if we had any.

FWIW the cost at the store was more for a couple of items I was looking at. The layout also made it tough to tell what was for sale and what was for rent as they mixed them together.

Yeah, I just went. The only 2 PS3 games they had for "sale" was about 4 copies of Far Cry 2 for 19.95 and 2 copies of Battlefield: Bad Company for 39.95 xD

I picked up Far Cry 2 for the 19.95 and got case and instructions.

man I love Family video. Especially that deal were you pay like $15 for 30 days and get half off of all your game and movie rentals. Saved me a lot of money on games by trying them before buying them. Also I don't feel robbed when I do decide to buy the game, cuz it only cost me $2-3 bucks to rent, otherwise when I used to rent a game and then bought it, I felt like i paid $59.99 plus $5-&4, it cost to rent it. Don't know if it's available at all FV's.......

I didn't even know FV had an online store, I'm definately going to check it out. Thanks CAGers

AMEX CVV2s are on the front right of the card, not the 3 digits on the back. Look for the 4 digit number on the front.

Yeah, $4 will barely buy anything with the NFL logo on it, let alone a game.

It's worth it for me to snipe a few easy achievements and to see the players/stadiums chosen for the game.

Mine arrived today minus the manual but disc/case in great shape.

I think I even passed on this at CC back in monthly clearance for 8.97, but $4?!
 
I ordered NFL Tour today online. It said to ship within 3-5 business days I wanna play it though haha. Looks fun and for $4 can't beat that. I wanted to get Spiderman 3 but it wasn't in stock. Oh well.
