My last purchase was July 25th so maybe it's changed. I know there was a bundle in there before July 25th that was priced the same regardless so Spoder's issue might have been specific to that title/bundle. Or not, I dunno.

Its marketing. If more people know that the bundle is coming, more people will care and take the time to look at it. Obviously, we're total nerds when it comes to buying games, but the average Joe isn't. The hype gets the average schmuck to look into it. Hell, the hype for the Legends bundle drove some of us to talk about it for days. In the past new BS bundles just popped up out of the blue.

And in fairness to them, Indie Legends was pretty good for what it cost and what it provided, just not to those of us that inhale bundles.

At least the Killer Bundles do tend to be pretty damn great and they're pretty clearly BS' flagship bundles. There's almost always 1-2 (really strong) titles that have never been in bundles prior and make it worth it. The hype is just marketing. Its easy to ignore.

SSP had the same issue. They may have made it harder to poutine ever since the Grand Master bundle went live (which I believe was after July 25th), I couldn't figure out a workaround. It applies to their entire storefront

Thats just the label they give this "range".

Its not a memorable bundle, but better than what most of bundle sites not called Humble provide regularly.

I've wanted Odallus and Riff Racer for a while, so happy to snag those. Blue Estate, Dutchman, and Dead Effect 2 I would actually play a bit of. Star Ruler maybe. Poncho and Carnivores I have minimal interest in. Better Late Than SHIT is the only negatively reviewed game on offer and I will never play One More Dungeon but its got decent reviews. Its solid overall.

Poncho and One More Dungeon are from my wishlist....as well as Odullus (Spoder said it will be bundled in Killer....he was right!). Not a bad bundle overall though maybe not great. The FPS games look....pretty meh, but other stuff is good. 

 
I can confirm from Reds that Better Late is a shitty, incomplete survival game but for .50 in this bundle I will gladly add it to my account.  I like this better than most Humble offerings, but I like to explore the seedy underside of Steam indie games. 

 
Hmm. Overall not a bad bundle. I got Cross of the Dutchman from GMG for $0.15, but the rest are all +1s.

I guess I'll bite because I might even toss a few of these in my backlog. Although, I sure wish that Indie Legends 4 bundle 10% off code would have had a longer expiration, thus more useful. Or that traveling and buying Poutine was still viable.

Yeah I was going to post what Reds said about Better Late, but you beat me to it. Overall, a few games look good, but some of them look like filler. Cross of the Dutchman was like 15 cents on GMG, Poncho was free if you're friends with Carl, Better Late is a buggy/abandoned game, so that leaves Odallus and Blue Estate as the standouts for me. Riff Racer could be good but I'm not that into music/rhythm based racers. Not sure what to think of this bundle, but it's not one of their better Killers IMO

seems like a fine bundle to me, but i had plenty of these on my wishlist, blue estate, riff, odallus, and star ruler 2. Very happy about the last one since Ive wanted it for a long time and its never dropped below 10$ on steam or been in a bundle before, so for me thats the definite stand out

 
Son of a bitch! I haven't gotten around to buying Killer 8 yet, and now one of the most attractive games in the bundle (from my perspective, anyway) is no longer in it. WTF?!?!

 
People on steamgifts said they were getting duplicate keys for Star Ruler 2.

Wonder if they dropped it because of some bad keys.

Sucks if they dropped it because of that and didn't just add the key later.

EDIT:

Saw this on steamgifts, guess the dev of Star Ruler 2 isn't doing too great.

A miscommunication led to Star Ruler 2 being included in a bundle that it was not supposed to be included in. I attempted to resolve the issue less drastically, but ultimately felt I was left with no acceptable choice, so I revoked all unredeemed keys. Anyone who purchased the bundle and activated the key will be able to keep the game.

I'm sorry for any issues that result from the situation with the bundle sold through Bundle Stars. Anyone who was looking to purchase the game through there, we will be running a discount on Steam next week, as well as hopefully on GOG.

Sweet. I bought the bundle the other day, redeemed the key right off and now the DLC will be on sale. Everything's coming up Syntax.
 
Um, the dude's studio has been on a supposed death march for a year and just now it's so bad he decided to yank keys from BS. Yeah, that won't get his Steam reviews of Star Ruler 2 firebombed.

I'm curious to see what the sale price will be. I don't see people that thought they were getting it in a $5 bundle with a bunch of other games rushing to buy it if it's on sale for $10.
 
You can review any game you have played.

But you can't check achievements unless you actually buy the game. (ie. family share and you cant view lol)

 
Thought so. So if you activated a key, he didn't revoke it. If you hadn't activated your key, then it might be revoked but you can't leave a bitchy review anyway since you never played it. The only revenge reviews would be from people who own it and decide to complain on the behalf of those who had their unactivated keys revoked.

Bundlestars occasionally runs shitty bundles where you can get 4 copies of a single game for $15-20. Those are technically bundles. Or at least, that is what BS refers to them as.

It's just a guess, but maybe the Dev thought it would be in one of those types of bundles.
