Fanatical Thread

Dev should've asked BS for the game to be removed from the bundle and do nothing more. No key deactivation... Nothing.

Easy.
they can't.. b/c that would be a breach of contract with Bundlestar.. hence they took things into their own hands and screwed the easier target - YOU, the consumers

p.s. and to the few white knights defending them...**** you all!

I'm pretty sure the devs are reeling following my scathing review of their ding dong game on Steam. It's safe to say they'll never make a mistake like this again.

BURN!!!

I also think it shows the review is so much more from the heart because it's the only game you've ever felt compelled to review.

I can confirm. That review is a real gut punch. It's like he paid Gordon Ramsay to ghost write.

Looks like bundlestars is allowing you to request working star ruler keys:

To request a working key for the game, you can visit http://bstars.co/support. Please include the following information in your message:

Your Killer Bundle 8 Order Number
(the 24-digit code on your Order Confirmation email)

Your duplicate Star Ruler 2 Steam key
(Your old inactive key will be deactivated and you receive a new, working Star Ruler 2 Steam key)

If you are eligible, please allow up to two working days for your key to be delivered.

Another somewhat decent BS bundle launched today...the Diamond Bundle 2.99

https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/diamond-bundle

- Dungeon Escape

- Dino Run DX

- KWAAN

- Zotrix

- Laserlife

- Night Blights

- Kiai Resonance

- HardCube

- Rebirth of Island

- There Was A Caveman

Very few repeats in this as far as I can tell. I only owned 2 of them before purchasing the bundle. One of which is Kiai Resonance, which the easiest way to describe is its like Nidhogg but with samurai, simplistic in almost every way but well executed for what it is. The other was HardCube which I got for free somewhere but dont remember. Most of the games seem to have decent enough reviews and theres a few others I'll definitely play (Zotrix, Laserlife, Caveman). Not bad.

Don't forget to check you inbox if you've bought anything on Bundle Stars recently. I had an email specific coupon code for 5% off that expires Aug. 31.

How recent does a purchase need to be to get the 5% coupon code from Bundlestars? Because my last purchase there was on Aug 01, yet I don't seem to have a code.

Had to buy something when their summer sale started. Aug 1 is too soon, I think. Summer sale started on the 8th IIRC.

I'm sure someone will be willing to help you out though, the coupon is multiuse.

Oh, I see.

Well I'm sure you're right. I probably could get someone to help me out. But I'm not sure it's worth the hassle just to save an additional 15 cents.

Is there any way for me to use a prepaid Visa debit card to purchase Castle of Illusion on BundleStars? I have been trying for months to use my Paypal and various prepaid debit cards to make purchases but the site will not let any of the transactions go through. I want to add the game to my Steam library since it might be delisted this week, but I don't want to pay $14.99 for it on the Steam store.

Can you do Paypal gift? I mean, I'd be happy to buy a copy for you in exchange for paypal gift. Can you do humble? It's the same price there too and IG as well I think.

I've been able to buy Humble Bundles with no problem, so I'll try that first. My debit card was compromised last year and it was a bitch to get a replacement, so I'm hoping the Humble site is my friend!

these bundles are bs

You know, I don't seem to get their coupons either. I know I've bought more than enough bundles over the years to qualify. Jerks!  :nottalking:

I've never bought from Bundlestars, are any of these particularly noteworthy?
If you dont have alot of them, then yea, bundlestars bundles are generally great. Its just that alot of us have already bought or have most of these and bstars tends to necro alot of their bundles. So once you own them then you get tired of bstars 'sales'

There was a pick n mix about three months ago where I actually was missing about 7 games that looked mediocre or better. Not sure why I debated for too long and missed out on that. Also not sure why mediocre is a selling point to me.

The Kalypso Pick-n-Mix one looks pretty good if you don't have some of them ...

If I didn't already have all three games ... Omerta - City of Gangsters, Jagged Alliance: Crossfire and Dark for $3 is a good deal.

Kalypso Pick-n-Mix is kinda tempting but Omerta not being the gold edition and Crookz not being part of it is going to make me hold off.

Also if your choosing the disciples games just pick gold, Im pretty sure gold includes renaissance along with another one or two, so no sense in just picking up renaissance

Me: "Oh...there is a new bundle up called Forgotten Realms. Oh. it has Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate, and Baldur's Gate II...I've been waiting for a good price for them! The second tier has an expansion! Let's see the price...$17.99 for Tier 1 and $34.99 for Tier 2...."

Yeah, the bundle is quite shitty for that price. $35 for one single piece of DLC, and it doesn't even contain all the Forgotten Realms games on Steam.

Bundle Sharts is dropping some turds this week.

What games is it missing?

With these single-publisher bundles I'm quite sure Bundlestars generally just puts up whatever the publisher wants to bundle. And this publisher has been awfully stingy on discounts thus far.
