Fanatical Thread

I spend way too much money with Fanatical as they have some of the best bundles and deals around. As for those mystery ones, yes I know they are a total crap shoot but pretty much avoid them now after having purchased a few and getting a number of trash repeats. That's not to say all pulls have been bad, it's just the prevailing outcome of them.

That's pretty much why I avoid the Mystery Bundles...too much chance of stuff I either a) already have or b) don't want. I do love some of the deals they run, no doubt!

Some good looking games but I'll wait for all these to be cheaper than $3.33 each

I bought the Anime Bundle and the Pick and Mix and got me 5 spins of the mystery wheel.  I got three games I already had (SEUM Speedrunners from Hell, This War of Mine, Blood Fresh Supply), a .50 voucher, and a 10% off coupon.

Actually wasn't bad and it was like getting a free mystery bundle without having to buy it.

I ended up getting Little Dragons Cafe and Death Mark from the Anime Bundle, the Artifex Mundi bundle (Motoki grandma games are nice to have sometimes) and then 5 from the festival bundle because there were a lot of repeats there.

Not the best Bundlefest they've ever had, but not terrible.

Dollar Realms Bundle = $1.00

https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/dollar-realms-bundle

Steam keys in this bundle for these games:

  • Two Worlds 1: Epic Edition
  • Two Worlds 2: GOTY Edition
  • Battle vs. Chess
  • Gorky 17
  • Enclave
  • Septerra Core
  • Knight Shift
  • Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire
  • Jagged Alliance 2: Classic
  • World War II: Panzer Claws 1 & 2
  • Earth 2150 Trilogy
  • Earth 2140
Fanatical links Battle vs Chess to Check vs. Mate on Steam, which Augmented Steam says I don't own. But I do own Battle vs. Chess on Steam. Weird thing is, if I go to the Store page for Battle vs. Chess on Steam, it also links to Check vs. Mate. So that's very strange. :whistle2:k

I believe it was released under two names do to IP right... They could get the name they wanted in Europe but not in the States.

New royalty free music bundle at groupe... *looks* fanatical...

No preorder cause fanatical sucks.

$1, $10, $20 tiers.

Do we call them Fartical from now on, since they're copying Poopees? It fits pretty well, since you haven't devolved into straight up shitting yourself until you start buying from Yanni Crapucchino.

P.S.: you can't use the wheel spin discount rewards on the Build-a-Bundles, but you can use them on this.

I'm thinking this just shows us how far Groupees has fallen.  They can't even manage to reel in bad music bundles anymore, let alone game bundles.

But I guess that's a way to make people never spend coins, right?

First the bundle site from the land of pasta copied Groupees.

Then the bundle site from the land of cable cars copied Groupees.

Now the bundle site from the land of tea and crumpets has copied Groupees.

Yanni Cappuccino must be quite displeased about this. He's probably threatening to slap somebody around like a whiny bitch, or he is just taking his frustration out on Motoki in his dungeon.

Haha, thanks for posting that. What a blast from the past. Motoki ranting about everything, references to Tomasety stalking people, drabe drunk buying every Groupees bundle and keeping them in business. Those were the days of CAG.

This was one Fanatical bundle fest I just didn't get anything. I usually get like one bundle, usually the Nemesis or Killer bundles, but the selection was weak this time. I may have gone for the Killer Bundle, but some idiot bought that beat em up in it in a Steam sale and hasn't played it yet....

keep forgetting epic store is a thing most days. im sure ive missed out on a lot of good games cause of that
Don't feel to bad I haven't claimed a epic free game. I don't need another collection of games not to play.

Neither have I, mostly because I had some dumb English kid register for an account with Epic Games using my email address, and it was a pain and way too much effort to have them detach that from my developer portal account that I had used to download and play around with Unreal engine.

That destroyed most of the trust I had with them being reasonably capable of dealing with accounts, so when they started to sign up people for the game downloads, I was in no rush to deal with that headache. Then time passed, Epic exclusives went to steam, lots of the same games were given away free by Amazon and the rest hit the bundle circuit... so I've had no real desire to bother with them at all.

I claim free games as long as I may play it and I usually don't own it elsewhere. If I have it on Steam, I wont get it obviously on Epic or Amazon games app. Between these and Humble Monthly, along with very few other bundles for games, I'm usually good on PC. Frankly none of the launchers are terrible, and I somewhat sometimes like the Epic Store one. The Amazon one is a bit meh, but otherwise I'm OK with Uplay, Origin launcher, Steam, etc... I still try to support indie and newer games now and then. Japanese VNs rarely get bundled, so I just buy them. Niche games in general take a while to bundle, but eventually do once they're pretty old, and I'll usually buy the ones I want when they just get some OK sales, like the Trails in the Sky series (never bundled after the first). This all leads to too many games on PC, but having ones you may want to play. I just hate wanting to play a game, but knowing I missed a good bundle or when it was free. As an extra some games I will generally only play on PC (Adventure games and Real Time Strategy games are one of them).

I get them from Epic, no matter if I own them already or not.

Epic sometimes sneaks in versions with No DRM, so...that can be a win to me. Or you can still blow by their client-app DRM with using target-line "-EpicPortal."

Especially when you also have lazy-ass companies like WB that sometimes don't remove DRM crap from their Batman games, yet give them DRM-FREE style to Epic.

EDIT:

Sometimes, Epic's version have more DLC's than a version I already own. I have Tyranny on Steam; awesome game. But, now I have the Gold Edition w/ some DLC's, thanks to Epic.

TL;DR - "If it's free, it's for me."

I've got all the major launchers, I guess. If someone is giving away a game on one of those I get it.

I mean, I'm not jumping through any hoops for them, but if I just have to click a button, why not?

I honestly don't think I've actually played a game on another platform though.

Still a big fan of Direct2Drive's app, GameFly's app, Raptr, XFire, and GMG Capsule here.

Pfft, you poor DRM sheeple won't have any games once those clients revoke your access. So fortunate that I still download cracked games from Limewire. Now hold on while I give this Indian Microsoft representative my credit card information so he can update my computer's drivers remotely.

Don't forget to check FilePlanet for patches and mods. I'm also a fan of GameSpy for multiplayer games.
