Far Cry 2 Fortunes Pack 1/2 off on XBL Marketplace?

I found the Far Cry 2 Fortunes Pack for 400 MS points on the Xbox Live Marketplace just now. I don't know this is a temporary or permanent price cut, nor do I know how long it has been at that price. I also checked the Playstation Store, but it's still $9.99 there. If there has already been a post about this, my apologies.

I dunno if anyone posted previously about it, but it has definitely been that price for over almost 2 months. The last time I played FarCry 2 was May 2nd and it was 400 points then.

It must be a permanent price reduction, then. I just checked Steam, and it's $4.99 there. Interesting that it is still at its original price on the PS Store...
 
That's because nobody plays PS3 so nobody noticed ::readies flame shield:: Actually I don't remember them ever announcing that it dropped in the first place. The only thing I remember hearing about it was when it was released everyone raised a stink because they thought it was overpriced. Maybe they realized the players were right and adjusted it quietly after everyone shut up.
 
On the 360 it was released at 800 points. I definitely remember the price because I too was surprised when I saw it for 400. Didn't buy it though, FarCry was not really my cup of tea.
 
Huh, hope it drops on PS3, I'd totally buy it for $5. But $10 is too much for a couple of cars and guns (sadly online is basically dead these days).
 
It's been $5 for a while now. I remember being interested in the pack when it first came out, but $10 was way too much for the pack in my opinion. Then, while randomly checking add-ons a few months back, I just stumbled upon the DLC and saw it listed for $5 and decided to pick it up...I am assuming they dropped the price because not too many people were willing to pay $10 for the pack.
 
Online is far from dead I was getting full games a few weeks ago on the 360. Hell farcry predator instincts was still active when I tried that a year plus ago. On the 360 even the crappy games have a active fanbase.
 
Yea, I hit the online mode a few days ago and FC2 still has tons of people on it. Like Monsta Mack mentioned, FC Predator still has people playing.

Speaking of FC2... I just can't get into it. It's like Oblivion FPS or something to me. :/
 
I like farcry2, i picked it up for $29.99 at target a week ago. But I see your point, emperordahc, it's hard to get into - and the gameplay is a bit repetitive, you run around, drive around, shoot people, get chased by cars with mounted machine guns, and take pills to fight malaria.
