Favorite arcade game never released for a console?

"War: FInal Assault" or "The Grid," both of which were those arcade FPS that had a flight-joystick for aiming/shooting and block buttons aligned like the WASD keys for movement
Japanese Saturn, has both side-scrollers on 2 discs in one package. Expensive if you want a complete copy but discs only copy is more manageable (about $50). Great ports too, wish I kept my copy
Damn, I never had a Saturn I wish they would show up on XBLA.
OIC. I was a Master System kid while friends had NES and Atari 5200. I still don't remember that one coming out either.
some reason I mixed up the Commodor with the Master System. Had all three (also got the T-16 when that got released for Christmas). Master System had my favorite shopping moment, walking into a Children's Palace and seeing a HUGE bin of Master System games for $5 a piece and they had every game that came out in the US for the system.

I would kill for the simpsons arcade game because my life revolves around the simpsons.

But (and I know it would not work) I wish Time Traveler could be released for home play.
Also I wish I would of bought this Mad Dog Mccree for the Wii last time I saw it.
Shit, forgot about Planet Harriers. That's another one. I believe there was actually a Dreamcast version in development, at one point, but it died for obvious reasons.

Also, another big one just came to mind: SCUD Race/Sega Super GT. I can't believe I forgot that one.

Also, one game that's actually new out in arcades that I pray to god gets some sort of home release is H2Overdrive. It is, quite literally, the sequel to Hydro Thunder (a lot of staff from Hydro Thunder worked on this game), and it looks abso-fucking-lutely amazing:

I R Jealous.
Funny though, the Master System's controllers would be so tiny in our adult hands these days -- imagine the finger cramping!

And for the very low price of just $295, you can have your very own "War: Final Assault" cabinet.

Nice little blog post on Destructoid about SF's Sony Metreon's Tilt arcade

I want this in my room. I usually play a couple rounds when I visit Japan. Not really old-school and the graphics aren't state of the art, but it's still a ton of fun.

Just about any huge, noisy, vehicle-based arcade game would be a blast/a bitch to have at home. I don't know how well it holds up nowadays but the Star Wars Episode I Pod Racer game was a favorite of mine for a while back in 2000. The game was intense and did a great job mimicking the way the pods flew in the movie (two throttle controls, one for each engine). Console versions never came close to matching the experience of the arcade machine (even with the special N64 control method where you used two controllers with the analog stick on each controlling an engine).

6 player xmen and the simpsons for me as well ... there was also this japanese robot fighting game that i would love to play again but don't remember the name.

Actually when I finally get a bigger place one of my main projects is to make a 6 player mame machine :D

This probably isn't what you are looking for (because there are about 70 bajillion Japanese robot fighting games ), but just in case, have you looked up "Virtua On"? It is one of the more popular arcade robot games, and it has been released for Saturn, Dreamcast, and XBLA.

Holy crap thank you. That's exactly what it was I remember putting many of tokens in that machine when I was a kid. It came out on XBLA may have to look at it but I'd love the duel sticks controls again :D
X-Men Arcade and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs for me.
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is on the Sega CD. I don't know if it is the same though.

Edit: Nevermind. Different games.
