What's yours? Is it a dumbass buyer? A mean seller? A great last minute snipe? Getting a really good game? Post your eBay potboilers here

My favorite ebay deal was when someone didn't pay for Cubivore after winning the auction, I was the 2nd highest bidder so I got it new, sealed, & shipped for $16 total.

I had a guy that bought a cell phone from me, said he didnt want it, and paypaled me $10 to cover fees and my time.

I have a ton of buyers who dont understand paypal only, and try to send me money orders.

My best Ebay deal is when i sold a ps2 for $900 when it first came out. Me and my wife waited overnight outside bestbuy and picked up two of them the day it came out. one i kept, the other i sold.

my fav ebay story is when i buy something for nothing and sell it for shitloads on ebay, i never get tired of that story

Here's my favorite story: I was winning an auction for three GBC games for only $3.00. Then I was outbid at the last minute by a bidder with the name of "llihk33". The funny thing was, not only was that account just created earlier that day, but the seller's user name was "khill33".

Needless to say, both accounts are now banned.

I have two favorites involving feedback:

The first is when you're checking somebody's feedback and they got totally screwed by a newbie who had no idea what they were doing. My favorite was a poor guy who got negged by a newbie that said "Sorry, I decided I don't want this item." So this newbie decides he's not going to pay, AND negs the guy. Obviously the guy had responded with something like "What the !#$$%". His frustration made it all the funnier.

My second favorite is when you stumble upon someone who leaves Engrish (Bad translation from an Asian language to English for anybody who doesn't know) feedbacks. I like to look at their history and see what they've left for people. Don't know why I like the Engrish so much but I find it to be hysterical.

Example: "Item good in receive. An honorable transaction presents me."

I bought two Eyetoys for $25 back when Target had them on clearance, one for me, one to make up for the cost of the first one.

It sold on ebay through some magical fluke at over $80.

my friend/coworker got a free elliott smith t-shirt from work right before elliott smith killed himself. he just recently put it up on ebay, and it sold for about $250.00. it's a good story, but since it wasn't mine it's not that great.

other than that, sometimes i am able to buy things for $5 and sell them for around $100. that's always nice.

Bought a Virtual Boy way back when they were on clearance at Toys R' Us for $20. Brought it home, played it for about 20 minutes. Put it back in the box, stuck it up in the closet never to be played again.

Fast forward to a couple years ago: Cleaning out my closet and I come upon the Virtual Boy, everything intact (baggies, twisty ties) literally like new even the original receipt was in the box. Since I did not want it anymore I put it on eBay.

It ended at ~$55. After waiting like a few weeks for payment I just decided to put it back up.

It again ended around $55. Again I waited a 3-4 weeks for payment. Nothing.

So, I put it up again for the 3rd time. It ended at $155! And the Guy Payed!

Wow, that's awesome. Did you have all three ending around the same time of day? If so you must've been really unlucky with the first two.

I'm the OP and I forgot to put my own story!
Mine wold have to be when I was watching the end of the auction for Def Jam Vendetta in order to snipe and with 15 seconds left my broadband cord fell out of my laptop. I lost the auction and went back to the listings only to find the game new for the same price I was getting it used and I won!

This story made me laugh lol

Not the best deal, but a week after Sega announced they were calling it quits on the DC side of things, I bought a used DC with 2 controllers, 2 games, 2 VMU's, and a new DC keyboard for $100 even. Plus the $12 shipping. Everything still works great too.

Here is another ebay auction that I won it was a top loader nes with four controllers and with 25 games all for $80 with s/h :D

I also won an auction for 60 transformer (Optimus prime, hot rod, megatron, construction bots, etc) all in very good condition well I won it for only $40. So then I receive an email with the total with shipping (this person lived roughly five miles away from me but did not want me to go pick it up) total with s/h was $190  . I was mad and I told the person why so much, because the box is heavy and I NEED to cover my cost because you got this auction cheap, and you know that  . So I emailed ebay and all they can do was for me to go through the auction because they are not responsible for s/h charges. Well then the person emails me back saying if I dont pay within the day (two days after the auction) that she will charge me more per pay ($10) until the day she receives the email. I was pissed :x . I told her forget about it and give me a negative, I dont care. Well the person gave me a negative as I did the same to them but then I receive an email from the person a week later saying that good that they didnt sell it too me because they were offered $1000 for everything. Well I sent that email to ebay and they were kicked out  of ebay.

Amazing how stupid some people are. To actually tell you they are raping you on S&H because they are pissed the auction went for so low. And then to follow up by taunting you with the fact that it went for way more outside of eBay... I haven't bid on anything that didn't give a S&H quote yet, too worried some crap like that would happen.

Good job getting them booted, would have given me a great deal of satisfaction. Plus with them NARUed that changed their neg to a neutral, right? Sweet.
