Favorite Game of 2009?

Batman AA single player
Beatles Rock Band multiplayer

Still have a lot of games from this year to play but I'm pretty sure nothing will top the enjoyment I got from Batman.

I'd have to say Uncharted 2 for my favorite of the year. U2 had the best singleplayer I've experienced. Next would be Batman, what an experience! Thirdly, it'd have to Modern Warfare 2 (just for playing with friends, not for anything else).

Honorable mention: I just got Demon's Souls 3 days ago, and I'm really liking it; it might just have to intrude upon my Top 3. :)
(holding off on AC2 to save for games in early 2010)

Dragon Age: Origins. Although Assassin's Creed II is definitely challenging it.
I will have to go with Fallout 3 and Red Faction. I didn't get a chance to play many of the titles listed by other posters in this thread. Plus, I am a little slow sometimes :p.
Apparently very slow, since Fallout 3 came out in 2008. ;) Although I suppose the GOTY edition came out this year. :D
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time was amazing, and my personal favorite.
I agree with this completely. I've got 23 hours of play on that game and I'm STILL finding things to do. Incredibly fun and nearly flawless.

That said, inFAMOUS, Uncharted 2, and Red Faction: Guerrilla are among my other faves of the year.

Fallout 3 GOTY would've gotten my vote for this year (after Fallout 3 got my vote last year) but I figured that was cheating.

MW2 has closed the gap on Batman AA by a little bit. I've had more fun with the multiplayer than I thought I would.
Trine's that good? Seem slow from the videos I saw, so I end up not buying it.
I loved it. Nothing better than playing Trine with a bud, constantly fucking each other over with the wizard's magic boxes and such.

The last level with two people is so ridiculous but so rewarding. Best co-op game for me this year without a doubt.

Skate 2.

Hours and hours spent free skating or moving shit around to set up a sick line for me to make a video for my buddies to get stoked on.

I'm more of a single player guy so

Batman:AA really fit the bill for me. Easily the best of the year. Completely unexpected. I got it for my B-day because I couldn't think of anything else I wanted.

Runners-up: Shadow Complex, Fire Emblem (DS) and RE5

For me I would have to say without a doubt Uncharted 2. With Borderlands being second place. I have yet to play ACII or Batman:AA.
