Favorite Gaming Moment?
Putting Cyrus' ghost to rest in Chrono Trigger. That nearly brought me to tears. Never felt as much emotion with a game as I did with CT.
Or when Frog's story is told and he uses his sword to open the magic cave. Feel good story of the year.

Definitely. It's all about that theme. Best video game song ever.

being used to the original megaman games, then trying megaman X and finding out he can jump on walls! made megaman games ten times easier. also finding the trick to winning in super puzzle fighter two on the PS (stacking the blocks as they fall on one side as fast as you can and the combos will come without effort).

Classic: SEGA channel for the genesis

Semi-modern: Beating Donkey Kong 64

Modern: picking up Kingdom Hearts after stopping because I thought the whole game would suck based on the Wonderland level, only to realize that it is my new favorite game.

Not really a game moment, but a gam-ING moment. When my grandmother handed me a new Nintendo 64 for no apparent reason. I was 5 years old.

For me it has to be the first time I played Quake. Aside from demos of marathon and descent it was the first FPS I ever played (didn't have a good computer until 96) and exploding grunts into big squishy bloody chuncks with a shotgun was about the most amazing thing I'd ever seen at 13. Since then a ton of violent games have decensitized me, but back then I was amazed they could get away with that in a videogame. Heck, to this day the gore is mighty impressive albeit a bit pixelated.

-Oh, another good one is the first time I played Myst. I had such low expectations for it and it sounded really boring, but I was instantly hooked. Now one of my favorite games ever despite all the bad myst-clones around and the fact that everyone seems to hate myst these days. For it's day it was truly revolutionary.

My favorite moment was playing through Star Ocean: the Second Story. Although the ending wasn't blockbuster, the entire story was a lot of fun. I liked going through the second time as Rena instead of Claude.

Other fun moments

Playing multiple seasons on Tecmo Super Bowl III with friends. We would trade players with each other, create players...make transactions during study hall. Hmmm, this might be my favorite memory of video games...

Playing Super Mario World...I thought Super Mario 3 was the best there was...I was wrong.

Lets see...

Tearing the Weapons and Sephiroth apart in FFVII...
Beating OoT...
Playing SMB3...
Beating the Facility level in Goldeneye in 1:25...

My classic gaming moment was when I was playing Asteroids on my 2600 for 7 hours and not dying. Some other moments...

...beating OoT
...completing all the challeneges and getting all the money in Tony Hawk 2
...the first time I got my dreamcast to play a homebrew game
...beating Wind Waker

My all-time favorite moment doesn't even involve me, it was when my son (when he 2) beat the first level of Sonic 2 by himself. I was real proud that day.

Classic Moment-I have a couple Beating FF1 when i was 10. Also completing RC Pro AM. That game was somehow difficult for me as a young boy but i still did it..also maxing all stats in River City Ransom.

Mid Modern- Porom and Palam sac themselves in FF 2. Sad moment. Getting KI when it came out. That had to be the most anxious time i had to wait to play it because my dad wanted to buy me shoes..

Modern- Perfecting the parry tech in SF3 Third Strike. Saving Nanami when she sacs herself to save HERO in Suikoden II. I felt good when i accomplished that.also finishing the officer list in Dynasty Tactics 1 and 2...It was hard to do that.

Worst moment- Playing Solstice..to this day i still cant beat it.
