Favorite Halo Level

What's your favorite level on Halo?


Mine is definitely the Maw. Whenever I play Halo, I always play this level first.
 
I loved the Silent Cartographer. The beautiful beach, impressive level design, Covenant to slaughter. What's not to love? Or if I feel like sniping, I'll play T & R on heroic or legendary.

Oh Btw, what was the hardest battle on legendary? For me it was the part just before boarding the T & R. A lot of people have said it was on the T & R. But I found a little trick which is to wait in the rooms that the Covenant pop out of and pick them off from afar. Cowardly but effective.
 
The last one. Me and my buddy Chron would play for about 2 hours everynight, and when we finally got to that last level, holy shit! He drove, and I was the gunner, those were the days!
 
343 was intense, especially since I was getting into the story while playing it. I played through it with my friend who didn't even care about the Spark was saying or why we were even in that place to begin with.

That was a damn dirty shame.
 
How bout that part at the end of the Maw with the "food nipple" grunt? I played over and over to hear it say that. Then I was pretty much done with single player Halo.
 
I'd say the only level that truly owns there is the Silent Cartographer. And honorable mention for me would be.....uh, that name slips my mind right now, but that level with all the zombies and shotguns and you gotta follow that little blue light floaty thingy. A little help here.
 
The Maw easily, the sense of urgency was fantasic and driving over grunts while getting the hell out of dodge was awesome. Though The Silent Cartographer comes in a close second for me, introduction of the flood was classic.
 
^^ Read my mind. When I saw this thread I wondered if The Library would even be included as a choice. :lol:

Silent Cartographer, storming the beach never gets boring.

Ohhhh man do I hate the Library. Fighting off hordes of Flood was fun for the first 8 hrs of the damn level, then it got tiresome.
 
i love assault on the control room...the outdoor snow scenes and tons of enemies to fight...two betrayals runs a close second...i love that level when i want a good challenge...fighting covenant and flood is fun

ditto the worst one everymade it is like the devlepors had to make a filler level.
