Favorite or fun psp game

Lonedragon87

CAGiversary!
been browsing psp games and been playing my first game which is crisis core :). Really enjoying it and am impressed so far, did play peace walker too, liked it also. Want to hear some of your favorite psp games or one you really liked that didnt get the attention they deserved.

I played God of War: Chains of Olympus on my brother's PSP last year. It's a fantastic game. Dissidia Final Fantasy wasn't half-bad either, but I'm not much into FF anymore, so maybe I was a bit bias against it.

I'll start off by saying I'm on my 4th PSP. I always buy one, play the new games that are out, realize I'm bored of it, and sell it....It's a joke around my household if I mention a cool PSP game I saw that I'm "at it again." ANYWAY..... Everytime I've bought a PSP I rebuy the same 2 games I've traded in.... WTF! (Work Time Fun) and PoPoLoCrois. I don't know why I like PoPoLoCrois but I do (and its five bucks or less at used game stores usually) and I play WTF! to remind me that I like really really monotonous gaming that rewards minigame grinding.

D: stop playing Crisis Core. If it's your first, you will judge every following PSP game by it's impossible standard of awesome.

Ys Seven. A colorful action adventure RPG, its just a great run n fun on a handheld. Im currently playing Test Drive Unlimited, X-men Legends 2 and Twisted Metal head on. They are all very good, Especially Twisted Metal, its very addictive and a title i missed years ago.

Also try the Hot Shots Golf open tee games, they are great golf games! I agree that MGS Peacewalker and Crisis Core are two of the systems best.

Im looking to get Lunar Silver Star Harmony and Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles (which includes Symphony of the night)

What's funny is that I'm the same exact way with Nintendo DSs. I've went through about 4 of them in the same fashion as you and PSPs. My theory is that handhelds are so cheap, you can afford to do that, opposed to a $350 PS3 or something.
want to try god of war havent played any but the first one
Then your in luck, The 2 PSP games revolve arund the first. Chains of olympus takes place before, and Ghost of Sparta takes place after(before GOW2) I personally think the PSP GOW games are better then GOW 1 and 2. I havn't played 3 yet.

not to mention they are flat out friggin beautiful.

In my order it goes:

God of War 3
God of War 1
God of War Chains of Olympus
God of War 2

haven't played Ghost of Sparta yet, but even if it's a massive pile of God shit, it can't be worse than 2
A game that's not mentioned much but is awesome is Dead Head Fred.
I loved the voice of Cox in it. I'd recommend this game too.

got dead fred for 5 at a pawn store nearby read reviews sounded good. I like crisis core but playing for story graphics are nice, but i still like 16 bit a lot. cant wait for ff4 collection.

Non-RPG (since you already have a thread for that) Both God of War games are really good!! DBZ Shin Budokai games are also quite fun. I would also say Metal Gear Ac!d (either one) I know not everyone was a fan of it, but I really, really enjoyed those!

Here are some good psp games I've played. Some have already been mentioned.
castlevania
dead head fred
lumines
metal gear
jean d'arc (final fantasy tactics)
killzone
ghost recon 2 advanced warrior

Gurumin was okay. Childish and easy but I played through it. Leveling up and unlocking moves action rpg type of game.

All you need are Hot Shots Golf 2 and Jean D'arc (or Final Fantasy Tactics). For less than 30 bucks you can play and re-play forever.

I'm personally not a fan. Course, I picked up the first instead of starting with Freedom Unite. Still, you may want to pick it up for your collection since a used copy is pretty cheap.
is monster hunter still fun even by yourself?
it's more fun with a friend, but i still enjoy it by myself. give tri a shot and see what you think, they're pretty similar.

i bought tri to play with friends but my time my cheap ass bought it they were already done playing, they didnt beat it or anything though

Jeanne D'arc
Persona 3 Portable
Valkyria Chronicles 2
Lumines 2
Gradius Collection
Burnout Paradise
Metal Gear Ac!d & MGA2
FFTactics: War of the Lions
GOW
For me: Hands down its Ghost of Sparta. I'll even go as far as to say its my favorite God of War
Agreed.

My favorite is probably Hot Shots Golf 2 because it is awesome and you can play it forever. I don't think I had more FUN though when I played through Half-Minute Hero. So clever - especially if you like RPGs (it's not an RPG).

Recently for me: Killzone Liberation, Sega Genesis Collection, DJ Max Portable, and Gitarooman Lives!

I've been playing Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on my DS a lot, so maybe the PSP version might be worth checking out.
looked it up looks fun, that the one with kasumi and ayane from doa?
You can ask the same thing about Hot Shots Golf Fore! for the PS2. It had Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter as playable golfers.

Phantasy star portable 1 & 2, Yggdra Union, Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero, Motorstorm Artic Edge, Fate/Unlimited Codes... You know just to name a few of my favorites :)

Just beat God of War: Ghost of Sparta. It is a very solid PSP game and I'd highly recommend despite it's high price point. I don't know if I like it or CoO better. Neither, or GoW 1 or 2 could top 3 though, in my opinion.

I'll add Hot Shots Tennis to the list - I had a great time with that one. I also liked Crush, Exit series, Everyday Shooter, Patapon series and the Final Fantasy remake. I mainly use my PSP to play NES, GBC and SNES games though. I just finished Legend of Zelda and I'm about 80% done with Oracle of Ages. For some reason the old games never really get tiring to me - I can play through them over and over but once I play through something like a God of War, for example, I'm done.

i love the old games was going to mod my psp but since i have 3000 didnt bother but might buy an older one just to mod, i find myself playing psp over my 360 or ps3 just have no intrest lately except for psp.

You played Star Ocean: The Last Hope dragon? If you haven't you definitely should. I really don't get all teh hate for it. It has a few issues, but I've been completely engrossed in it, so they aren't that bad. That could get ya back on a console lol

i played last hope it was alright got the cat girl then i stopped playing lol. The reason i am off console is because my 3 yr old gets in the way of tv lol. Plus psp is easy to put on hold big reason why i play :). I love the hold feature.

It's amazing. I left Persona 3 on hold for 2 days by accident last week. The battery hadn't even lost a bar and I turned it on to start up and was RIGHT back where I was. That's convenient! lol
