Today, I stop by Gamestop to see if they got any Disgaea in stock, they did, and I bought it for $39.99 sealed. As I was about to exit the door, I saw some used PS1 games. I was looking if they got any good/cheap games to buy. I thought I got some and I pick up these game, all had cases and manual, 5 of the games were mint condition and non-gh: FF Chronicles $12, FF Anthology $10, FF Origins $10, FF7 $5, FF9 $5, Chrono Cross $10, MGS $5 and MGS VR Mission $3 x .10% off Gamestop Discount card for a total of $54 + tax.

I might go back tomorrow and pick up PS2 Phantom Brave for $24.99 used x .10% gamestop discount card because I just started disgaea and I like it a lot. It kinda remind me of La Pucelle.
Not a bad score. No love for FF8? I think i'm the only person in the world that likes that game.
I loved FFVIII. I always thought it was hilarious when I tell the "hardcore" Final Fantasy guys it's probably my favorite game of the series and they flip out- that never stops being funny.

I use to be a hardcore FF guy and that game got me ostracized.
FF8 was probably my least favorite. I actually enjoyed playing Mystic Quest more, go figure.
That makes you a very very sick individual.

I never said it was my favorite.. I think FF2 (The american one) is my favorite.. I just prefer it to FF7. I can NOT stand the block hands. I absolutely refuse to play it because of the block hands.

FF2 was really good at least the original US version. The PS1 version final boss always kicks my ass.

oh yea, I saw they had Xenogears in a jewel case for $15 and Legend of Mana in a Jewel case for $20. I was thinking of buy it, but I pass because I don't like buying games w/o a case/manual. I might go back and pick up Legend of Dragoon for $5. I always wanted to beat it that game but never did. I never went pass 3rd disk.

Xenogears and Legend of Mana are not a good deal at $15 and $20 for disk only. Legend of Mana is normally aroudn $25-30 complete on ebay and Xenogears is GH so disk only isn't worth anything. Legend of the Dragoon for $5 is a good price if its complete and nonGH otherwise TRU had them for like $7 new on their green tag sale for a while.

LOD was a used non-gh version. It seem in good condition and complete. I went to check if I save LOD in my PS1 memory, and guess what, I did for 15 hours. Lucky me, didn't feel like starting over. I'm go pick it up tomorrow.

Good deal then, I was never a big fan of that game due to the whole timeing system, drove me nuts.

I C, I love it because it remind of FF7 and FF7 is the game that got me into RPG. I believe I was like 14-15 years old back then. My neighbor brought it over to my house and play it on my playstation. I was just amazed. I asked him if I can borrow it. He said "Nah, it aint my game." Found out that it was his, just didn't want me to borrow it. The next day after school, went to pick up FF7 and beat the game before he did. I even spoil the ending for him.

See FF8, I hated so, because of the wretched story. It was just so far fetched (even for an FF game) that I couldn't take it. The game just dragged along too, I had to set it down for months on end several times, before finally completing it.

*spoiler* The part how they were all related and all went to the same nursery or whatever, I mean comethefuckon that was just lame, how can they all have forgotten each other? Just... argh... that game pissed me off so much.

FFMysticQuest on the other hand had a decent storyline, it was just way too simplistic, and way too easy since the Japanese thought that American gamers couldn't handle a "real" FF game, fortunately they were sorely mistaken. I'd like to see a re-make of Mystic Quest actually, just a lot harder, like by adding random encounters and some depth to a fairly solid shell of a game. I did like Squall, Irvine, Kiros and Laguna though, if that makes you feel any better.

I think FF8 might have been the worst game that I played all the way through. I just could not get into that game.
