I just don't get how this game is gonna fit on a memory stick, unless it's got the shittiest sound in the world or something.
1. VC games are supposed to be no bigger than 50mb
2. SD cards go up to 4gb
3. N wants you to delete games in order to make space for new ones

1. I remember when XBL games had limits too.
2. But the Wii can only recognize up to 2GB.
3. This is a dumb move and everyone knows it.
4. This must be a joke.

5. I knew this was a Zen topic because the title has exclamation points.

Exclamation points are my only friends.

The original had a lot of potential, but just didn't work. It was only fun with three other people, and the cost of entry for such a group was ridiculous. Also, the last stage was almost impossible if the game was played at a normal pace.

Just to clarify, this is the WiiWare game that was announced a few weeks ago, more simulation (a la King Story) than RPG, seemingly.

Not to be confused with FFCC: The Crystal Bearers, which is the follow-up to the GameCube Crystal Chronicles, but seemingly with a single-player focus.

Oh... yeah, I was confused. I knew of Crystal Bearers but didn't know about this. Interesting.

I still don't understand how they are going to fit a game of this size on WiiWare since we are expected to play off of the 512 MB of Enternal Memory even if we do have a 2 GB SD Card... :whistle2:k

Remember, these also might come on two or more seperate downloads - like 2-3 disc games. Might look as nice or better than Dremcast games like Shenmue.

"Please insert download 2."

Is it possible to make bigger games episodic?

You pay the full amount for the full game, but it comes in 3-4 parts which you download as you reach them. The system can keep your save game info/stats and items, etc at all times.

I guess a game would have to be pretty linear to allow that kinda thing tho. No backtracking to previous areas and all that.

Also, how big are DS carts? They cant be that big, and they can fit an entire RPG on there without too much trouble.

DS carts aren't pushing the graphical output that this game looks like its going to push. Remember its not data that really takes up that much space in a game its textures. The more graphically advanced a game is the more space it takes up. This looks like its a notch up from gamecube resolution graphically so I'd be surprised if this was under 100 meg myself and it would probably be really freaking short at that still. Nintendos plan for WiiWare is really fuzzy to me at the moment. Its a great idea but with the space limitations they have how far can it go really?

DS carts are currently exceeding 1GB, so definitely more than the Wii can store.

XBLA had a pretty small size limit as well, didn't it? I seem to recall 50MB until SOTN was released. And those were drawn at 720p. So I'd imagine you could squeeze a bit more into that limit at only 480p.

I have a feeling this will be some kind of entry title or something. package it with a hard drive, and or larger SD card at retail level. Get you into the concept while giving you what you need to make future purchases.

This is supposed to be a SimCity type thing where you build/manage a city, right? I wish they would release some screenshots of the actual gameplay instead of screen after screen of Cabbage Patch Kids talking to one another.
